Excellent Exalted Champion of Chaos

Lake Forest, California, South Orange County

Hello, my name is Ryan Lancaster. I've been involved in tabletop gaming since 2000, and
have been painting since day one. I've decided to start taking on commission work. My
service is not quite the same as most others out there. I'm not here to paint Golden Demon
quality pieces. My skills are best used for those who either don't have the skill or resources
to get their army painted to a tabletop standard. Some people don't have time, others
don't have the supplies, some just may not want to sit and paint for hours on end but still
have a nice looking army to play with.

As such my pricing is fairly inexpensive when compared to other commission studios.

For single infantry models on 20mm or 25mm bases the pricing is as follows:

Tier 1 $3ea and includes priming, base colors and shade. Models will usually have around 5 colors and will
be shaded accordingly with either dark sepia or a thin black wash depending on preference.
Here is an example of a tier 1 paint job:

Tier 2 $4.5ea and includes priming, base colors, shading, highlighting and weathering.
Here is an example of a tier 2 paint job:

for medium sized models such as ogres and other 40mm based minis or cavalry the pricing is:
Tier 1 $7
Tier 2 $10

For larger models such as dreadnoughts, land speeders etc. the pricing is:
Tier 1 $10
Tier 2 $15

I am willing to do single models to a higher detail standard than tier 2. Detailing would include eyes, teeth etc. Contact me for an estimate on
any single models you might want to have detailed such as commanders, generals and what have you.

I am willing to give discounts for entire armies. I can also offer basic basing(GW style) at a cost of $.25 for small infantry, $.50 for medium models
and $.75 for larger models.

Please make sure models are cleaned and assembled properly as this is a service I don't currently offer. I can reglue a piece here or there that may have
come apart in shipping and clean a mold line that may have been forgotten, but if the models are fresh off the sprue then pricing will change to
reflect the time spent filing away.

In keeping with assembly, any models that may need pinning should be done before sending the models out to me. Basically the models need to look
good naked, so that they will look good when they are painted .

I use paypal only for payment as it protects both parties. 4% will be added to the total cost to compensate for paypals fees. I recommend adding
tracking to your package when you send it so that you have confirmation of when it arrived. I will add tracking to all models when they ship out.
My fee is 25% before I start painting and the remaining 75% before I ship out the completed models. I will take pics before and after of the models
for proof of their condition when I received them and when I shipped them back to you.

If you have any questions please contact me via PM or email me at drummerpunk7 on hotmail.

Thorosden's Touch.

thorosdenstouch.webs.com

Experience: Dark Angels, Blood Angels, Ultramarines, High Elves, Dwarfs, a little bit of Menoth.

Pricing: Pricing depends on what you are looking for. I do up to three layers of highlights and shadows. The base line is just basic tabletop and the cheapest, the top is both shadows and a highlight.

Turn around: I'm currently looking at a turn around of roughly a week per unit on the high side and two a week on the low side. Most single units will be in and out in a week and most armies in and out in about 6 weeks, depending on the army. Deathwing should take roughly a month, while green tide will take longer.

Examples:

Good job Luco! (and hopefully I will get more models to you asap!)

Endorsing Ifalna.

I got Ifalna (where did that name come from?) to paint up some iron warrior terminators (table top standard) on resin bases and a demon Prince (character standard).

I've seen a lot of good minatures in my day, but those table top standard troops are far better than anyone elses best. Her work is amazing. And the demon is insane. Just outstandingly beautiful (if thats the right term for a non slaaneshi demon). The attention to detail and the artistic style is really something special. It should also be said that the bases were not of the best quality, they're cast in a resin that seems to resist paint, meaning I've had no end of trouble with them with my army, but it was no bother for herself.

I was kept up to date on progress, quizzed at length to ensure that the models were exactly how I wanted them, and recieved very quick delivery when the models were done. I will be using this service again, and encourage anyone else who wants something special made to do the same

I would like to endorse Cataclysmus from Cataclysm Studios. He has done many MANY works of art for me and they are extremely well painted. His prices are very fair and he always gets them done by the time I needed them. If you search for Cataclysm Studios in the gallery you can see some of the work he's done for me like the demon prince Negrus Titanicus and a lot of the other Chaos stuff there. Best of all, he's honest about the time frame that the work will be done in as well as the rates he charges. I highly recommend if you have any painted needs or special commissions needing to be done, use this guy!

Sanford did some awesome work on my skaven as shown in the photos two post up. Those are the actual models he did for me. Very creative and I told him to do something unique and he came back with a few ideas one I really liked I told him and within the time he said everything was done. Communication was excellent and he kept me in the loop on everything. I would definitely recommend him to everyone for your army/models. He really does love the work he does for people. If anyone has questions feel free to contact me.

I highly recommend Ifalna for any commissions you have needing to be done
She did some great painting work for me and they came out brilliant. The Kasrkin Sarge above (on this page) is one of mine she recently did for me and you can see the quality.
She communicates all through the project with you and makes any changes that you request as well as making some very good suggestions. Very good prices and excellent quality
But a huge difference is that that she actually enjoys what she does and it shows through on the models. The Kasrkin Sarge I only wanted up to a tabletop standard but she enjoyed painting him so much she went beyond the call of duty and painted him to a character standard at no extra charge
She also tells you what colours and techniques she used so that you can try and duplicate the process on further models yourself.
Highly recommended

Hey all! I am a long time lurker here but wanted to give a shout out and ringing endorsement to Itsonlyme.

He did a fantastic job on my eldar (pictures don't do the minis justice) and was by far and away the best communicator I have ever worked with when it comes to painting services (and I have used ALOT! from pigmentedminis, bluetable to higher ends like tom Schadle)

Not only is he a very good painter but he seems to be even a better person and in my experience that often gets overlooked. I believe that commission painters are only as good as their character.

I would like to endorse CATACLYSMUS. He has done some work for me in the past and proven himself to be a great painter with reasonable prices and excellent turnaround. He did a 1500 pt Blood Angels army to excellent table-top quality at just under 2 weeks between request and receipt. He also gives good advice on how to replicate his painting techniques should you want to add to your army later, and keep the same look.

Any and all plans are doomed to fail. The greatest strategy is no match for solid tactics.

Hi guys,

I thought it a good idea to get up in this thread at last! Heres the low-down then from Orki's MiniCommissions Service.

From TT to competition standard - I am here for all your sculpting and painting needs. From lowly TT gobbos, to bespoke sculpting and competition standard display peices.

Professional service - As a mature and experienced artist, you wont be dealing with a kid sitting in his bedroom. I am a member of many international painting communities and have experience in all related fields.

Fast turnaround - I am at home in the studio all-day, every day. Once your commision is on the desk it gets done there and then. A typical unit of 10 troops is usually completed within a day, and a TT+ unit within 2 days.

No hidden costs - I am often cheaper than those who charge per base item and for 'prep levels' etc. Even my TT standard is of considerably higher quality than average, and includes basing, prep, sealing, and any other hidden fee you can think of.

The only true style is none - I am a life practicioner of JKD and can adapt to any situation. I can paint in any 'style' you like with ease. Tell me what you want, or point at an example and I will make it so!

Real value - I firmly believe you will not find a better, faster, painter for the same money anywhere else! If you are happy with sub-par work for a dollar a mini, I suggest going elsewhere. I believe that quality work will endure, looking great and providing pleasure for many years to come. If you are as passionate about your models as I am, I think you'll agree that its much better to do it right first time!

You can find more details on my site http://minicommisions.webs.com/

Hi everyone - I'm open for commission.

I use military scale model and other painting techniques to paint wargaming miniatures to create a unique and more serious result.

My signature style is really atmospheric and illustrative - I try to capture the impression and characteristic of the models as they would in a real situation rather than painting them the way they appeared in the codex.

Here are some of my works:

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. After taking a break from doing commission work I have decided to start accepting some work again on a limited basis.

I have been painting for around 20 years off and on and I enjoy working on anything from D&D to Fantasy, to SF/WH40K miniatures.
I love doing custom conversions and mild "greenstuff" work.

At this point, I am focusing on "Centerpiece" or "Character" miniatures and small units like a "Command Squad" or some "Elite" unit, like maybe an Inquisitor with his retinue for instance.
I can do vehicles and large figures like Monstrous Creatures and Dreadnoughts.

I am willing to negotiate on price for my work and since I am getting back into this to allow me to afford my crazy new Dark Eldar idea I am very interested in bartering my services for NEW, Current Edition Dark Eldar items (in or out of box is fine) so if you have those, or can get a good deal on them please don't hesitate to ask.

Below are some examples of the type of work I have done. You can see much more on my Photobucket acct, please note that photography is not my strong suit. ;-)

With so many studios & individuals offering "pro-painting services", it is often difficult for players or collectors to make an informed decision, hence the need for client testimonials. Here's mine:

Just a few short months ago, I contacted Orki from minicommissions studios (http://minicommisions.webs.com/) for a possible Warriors of Chaos project after seeing his work on the dwarven army. This was a leap of faith to be honest as there was a distinct lack of either strong track record or previous collaboration experience.

Fast forward to today (July 2011), I have received my completed phase 1 WOC miniatures and couldn't be happier! Smooth blends, brilliant freehand, crisp assembly and an almost crazy lack of mistakes (I looked!) has me smiling from ear to ear. Orki's tabletop+ quality is truly a match made in heaven for folks looking for a White Dwarf magazine worthy army!

You don't have to believe me but phase 2, an even bigger 2nd half to my WOC army is in the works and I absolutely cannot wait to see the end result! For the quality you get, I do not believe you can find a better deal on the entire internet. Check out his CMON gallery if still in doubt!
