Apparently a worldwide game being run in all the battle bunkers and in indy stores.

I have submitted the base blueprints for an Apoc type scenario for this event, if enough people get behind it(i.e want to play an Apoc game at the event and let me know soon so I can get the plan in motion), I would be happy to provide more info!

the amount of "fluffiness" will be entirely dependent on what teams are formed and the earlier I get team info the 'better'.

Sageheart wrote:

5k points per team, max of 4 players each team is what I currently have planned for the scenario, that number will obviously flux on demand (keep in mind, this is a multi team apoc game, so 5k is not really a small number all things considered)

For the schedule, did you want the fantasy warbands to run at the same time as the 40k ones, or a separate time?

I was thinking 4 rounds at 45 minutes each, so just the morning or just part of the afternoon needed.

I think it would be good to have the warband games at separate times, since I have no doubt there will be some people that would like to partake in both. That kind of a schedule (45 minutes per game, 4 rounds) seems like it'd be a great set-up, since it'd only take about 4 hours to get through a mini-tournament, we'd have about 15 minutes between games to switch tables/get set back up/chat with other Dakkites, and people would be able to participate in both. Only problem I can see is that some people might show up late or miss their bus/train/whatever, but that's something that might happen anyway.

Ouze on GW: "I'd like to be like, hey baby, you're a freak but you just got too much crazy going on, and I don't hook up with bunny boilers. But then Necrons are going to come out, and I'm going to be like damn girl, and then next thing you know, it's angry sex time again.

It's complicated."

So 1,250 points for eah player, for a total of 5k for each side? that seems like fun.

I would be very down, I could bring IG, Orks, or BA.

Dakkapocalypse

Scenario Rules
Player limit: 20 (4 MAX per team)
Team limit 10 (Preferable 5-8 teams) Each Team gets 5000 points.

~Teams share access to each other’s Transports (normal rules for dedicated apply, see Apocalypse rulebook for details on Super heavy transports), “Friendly” Benefits (unless stated otherwise), and certain assets.

~All Apocalypse Datasheets (from Apoc, Apoc reload, IA Apoc 1, IA Apoc2, GW Online) are legal. The Apoc Rules appendix found in IAA2 will be applied.

~THE MOST RECENT profile for an entry is what is used (if something is in a Codex, example, the Valkyrie, us the Codex profile instead of the Datasheet)

~All teams (include which player is bringing what units in the list) must submit their lists NLT Jan 10.

~Certain Strategic Assets will be banned/limited (full list coming soon)

~You may only take ONE of each strategic asset per TEAM (not counting Formations)

~No team may BUY (using points) more than 3 additional Strategic assets

~No single player may have more than 60% or less then 15% of their team’s total points.

~“Counts as” and Scratch built models are permitted, however it is advised that you contact the SO if you have any concerns about your model, as ‘exaggerated’ modeling is unpermitted. (Using a normal LoC as the daemon lord or using a 5ft tall model as a Warhound scout titan are examples of what NOT to do)

~Each Team is limited to 5 different armies TOTAL (You may only take Army Specific strategic assets from your top 3 armies)
Banned SAs, legendaries, Formations: TBA (List by Dec 20, feel free to submit any suggestions before/after this date)

~No team may have more than 3 “Titans” (Super heavies with MORE than 3 structure points(or any sort of “shields(Void, titan-holo, Force)” / Gargantuan Creatures) total. No single model may cost more than 1000 points.

~The allies matrix is NOT in effect. (Any combination of races is permitted)

~“Destroyer” weapons will be limited. (Exact limitations coming soon)

~There will be a scenario specific FAQ for this event, please feel free to submit specific rules questions to the SO.

~“Void”-weaponry is NOT permitted (with the exception of 1 void grenade asset per team, formations COUNT towards this limit)

Scenario Specifics:
Game will begin promptly when the day’s events start. Game will continue until days end or victory has been achieved.

There are 3 objectives that are equal in “priority”:

Base Defense: Each team will have a piece of terrain (you may custom make it if you like, it should be a circle 5” in diameter, 5 inches tall) that is their respective “base” (be it a supply silo, energy generator, chaos temple, or whatever it may be). The “terrain” is considered impassible and may not be occupied at all (even by things that can normally land on top of impassible terrain!). it has an AV of 14/14/14 and 3 structure points (at the cost of 250 points each, your team may increase its structure points to a total of 6, this does not count as a “titan” if you do so), the terrain may be obscured, but cannot gain an invulnerable save (from things such as Chaos temple, etc) and they are COMPLETELY IMMUNE to both friendly and enemy psychic powers. These pieces of terrain have the “Reactor Meltdown” special rule. They MAY NOT do a “damage control” roll. Bases automatically reduce “Destroyer” weapons to str 10, ignore lance weaponries special rule, and never allow more then 1D6 to be rolled for armor penetration. They also apply -1 to the Vehicle Damage Table result. The base may not be the target of any friendly strategic assets and ignores any effects of friendly strategic assets (Including ‘Force Field’).
The base counts as a 2 objective points that can only be held by its controlling team (and is automatically held, no surrounding units are required) if it survives at the end of battle. If destroyed, the team which destroys the base receives d3 objective points and the wreckage becomes a standard objective that can ONLY be held by enemy teams and the controlling team suffers -1 objective point at the games end. (The controlling team may not hold the objective, but they may contest it)

Landmarks: There will be 5 objectives (that follow the standard rules for scoring in the 5th edition rulebook) placed on the board that will be assigned d3 points each objective at the END of the game. If at any time all 5 landmarks are held by a single team for 1 entire game turn (after all teams have gone and the “holding” team finishes its turn, must be game turn 2 or later) the game ends. Your team may mark any of these objectives as “Vital” objectives if you so choose, you must mark which on a separate piece of paper to be submitted to the SO at game start.

Semi-Annihilation: Once 75% of the units on the field have been destroyed, the game is called via the standard rules for “annihilation” and the team that ‘triggers’ this event immediately gains 3 objective points (in addition to any they may score in the game). Any team that has suffered 75% losses receives -1 Objective point; any team that has been completely annihilated suffers -2 Objective points.

As you can see, it is completely possible for a team which gets completely annihilated to still come in first place (however, it will be difficult!). The standard apoc game type is obviously being suspended for this scenario (no d6 objectives or whatnot) and there will be a “hidden tie-breaker” if such an event were to occur.

Cost of Scenario: 25$ per team + Bonus Pool (optional)

Prizes:
1st place: Every member of the team gets 1 year DCM status on Dakka! + 2 Sets of Dakka-Dice each (your choice of color, availability may vary) + 50% of Bonus Pool! (if your team contributed)
(Assuming game is full)
2nd Place: Every Member of the team gets 1 year DCM status on Dakka! + 25% of Bonus pool! (if your team contributed)
3rd Place: Each member of the team will receive 1 set of Dakka-Dice (your choice of color, availability may vary) and 10% of Bonus pool! (If your team contributed)

Prizes are funded by Daemon-Archon Ren/Scenario Costs/ bonus pool cut. If prize cost < Funds generated by scenario costs/bonus pool/donations [ ] remaining money will be divided amongst any players that have not yet already received a prize.

If Demand allows, multiple instances of this scenario may be present.

Like all other events, seats are distributed on a 1st Come 1st Serve basis with a preference to DCM, if for any reason, you cannot make the event after reserving a slot, please contact Daemon-Archon Ren ASAP!

For any questions/concerns, please feel free to contact Daemon-Archon Ren via PM, by email (MCCORMM@ONR.NAVY.MIL or FyreMaxxCristuFiryoshiN@gmail.com ), by Skype/AIM (IAMFMCF), or other method (Phone number available by request)!

that type of apoc game sounds great. As for prizes I would rather see something different than money, such as models, maybe something painted by someone, but that could be hard to find haha. Maybe each player has to give a model and the winning places get a certain numberof these models! that would be interesting.

I also never knew dakkadakka dice were made.

overall the apoc game sounds great! I'll try to show up for it!

Their are 4 of those vibrating recliners that take a buck in quarters for 2 minutes of 'backrub'. Winning team can sit together for a session and bask in their victory.

The cash pool is COMPLETELY optional, and kinda a way for people to potentially play for free (if say, enought teams contribute to the pool, the first place team will probably make their money back, and as stated, if the "funds" outweight the "prize costs" money will be refunded to the teams in the most appropriate method availible) the main prize would be the DCM status thing (also the 25$ per TEAM ((not player)) is only 5$ more then the standard event fee, if you have a 4 man team).

Depending on the turnout/"pre-reg" I may make the prize pool something a little more solid (for example, a "Fortress of Redemption" for the winning team to take home to their gaming group) the only problem I foresee with solid prizes like this would be if a team is forming via "on-line friends" and the potential difficulties with deciding "who gets the model", if that is easily avoidable, I think I can manage dipping a bit deeper into the wallet for better prize support!

Again, it all comes down to who pre-regs/confirms they are coming and how quickly they decide to!

So get the PMs rolling if you already have a team/list, I know there isn't really a full list of "whats restricted"(or an FAQ) but I do promise that if you send in your lists ahead of time, I will let you know (if) any complications arise!

The earlier the better, and my PM box is wide open!

Send in today!

So, looks like I might be bringing some WoC to play with as well as my Lizardmen (though not in the min-tournament!) One of my girlfriend's friends wanted to get rid of her WoC stuff, and gave the following, all built and partially painted, though I'll be going back and repainting them:

Archaon, the Everchosen
Chaos Sorcerer with Familiar
12 Chaos Warriors, Full Command, with Shields
12 Chaos Warriors, Full Command, with 2 Hand Weapons
5 Chaos Knights
Chaos Chariot
Warpstone Meteor terrain
Ruins terrain
Watchtower

and all for just 2 pots of paint that I bought her tonight.

I love having friends that don't want their things anymore.
