Back on topic, mine is probably a Rogue Trader rulebook and then a complete 2nd ed. book set or the old Compilations or Chapter Approved.
Why doesn't GW do stuff like that any more? I'd buy it.

It'll pop up from time to time on Noble Knight

That's where I got mine.

Lol, I imagine not. It's funny how some people's grail is that which doesn't cross the mind of another. I do have a colour catalogue somewhere which I could scan for you if you were interested, and I find it.

I suppose another grail for me would be a complete set of Citadel Journals. I'd happily get them all as PDFs if I could but they are very hard to find online.

You can find those on Ebay...for a lot of money, though. I know one DA player who has a few of those.

Yes I just dropped close to $100 on a 20+ year old book which apparently the seller paid 7 UKP for.

Don't judge me

Now to get back to my plan for a footslogging IG force made up entirely of Sergent Centurius and limited edition Adeptus Mech figures.

Congradulations Kid =o], may you enjoy your new book where the Soul Drinkers are part of the White scars Chapters and other kinds of Rt-era shenanigans...which are personally my favoret kind of shenanigans.

So what's going to be your new holy grail now?

I'm kind of a Land Raider fanatic, ever since I first saw the plastic kit (the newer one, not the old RT style). I've always wanted one of the FW MkiiB ones, but it appears they're not for sale any longer (no clue when that happened, but it had to have been within the past 6 months). Mostly I just want the sponsons, and those are the part that NEVER seem to make it onto eBay.

My true holy grail will always be a Land Raider Spartan that isn't someone's plasticard scratchbuild. I love the look.

Well, I hate to be 'the one' but the Spartan was a conversion with the template in a issue of WD 119??( I think). It was never released as a kit, with the left over pieces you could make a saber tank hunter....complete with ballpoint pen shaft for a gun....no really. =o]

I think they might be redoing the molds on it. That is was notorious for not fitting properly...especially the land raider doors... to bad they didn't tell people that the hatch doors where rhino sized doors...that might of helped ALOT! =o]

I also think Land Raiders are cool...I just wish they had some kind of suspension system on them. =o]

Suspension is for the weak! Real men just drive through the thing that's in their way.

And I wanted a Mk.II Land Raider as well. It's my aim to own at least one of every version of the Land Raider. How can I do that without the Mk.II?

Do you mean this? Converted from the original land raider, it's a Spartan converted in accordance with an old WD (could've been 119 as mentioned by Fabricator')

Nice. My TF Holy Grail is a complete G1 Scorponk (Wish I'd kept the one I had as a kid) for non outrageous prices.

As to my gaming holy grail, hard to say. Probably either Ork & Squat Warlords or Warhammer Quest, in unopened condition.

You know, I'm going to change my holy grail. It should be something I simply will not obtain, just like THE holy grail.

A fully painted collection of an army.

I've literally never had everything painted. I came close in 3rd edition, where I got all my Salamanders painted bar a command squad and a Predator.

Yes, exactly that, the Land Raider/Rhino combination. It was indeed WD 119.

There was never a true Spartan, it was always a kit bash from rhino and Land Raider with a few extra plastic card pieces.

The remaining parts from the two kits could then be used to make a tank hunter vehicle, I forget the name of that now.

You mean the saber, which was in WD 120 =o]. Basically it was made with the left over parts of the Spartan.

Nice one. It's weird but I probably wouldn't sell mine for $100 but I wouldn't pay $100 for it either.

There's some good stuff in there, enjoy.

That's the one. Very economic really, use two kits to make two kits. Rather than make one kit and have a heap of useless bits left over.

I wonder if Forgeworld's MkI Land Raider will be redone and released as one.
