Not quite, It's about A-level standard (a little bit higher than...for some reason the scottish and english systems are slightly off-set). But yeah, I feel for you man.

@Imperial Monkey- Lol seems slightly unfair, so do you apply to uni after? slightly overqualified? Or do scottish uni's use that as their minimum entry?

No, we apply for Uni on our Highers, which simply means that we have no wish to work whatsoever for advanced Highers unless we are applying for an English uni. But we get our fees paid, so hahahahah

I see, I think, so mostly people do them to get into english unis? But then get the benefit of the Scottish government paying for their degree, even though they aren't in Scotland? Something seems slightly flawed there, but I doubt your complaining!

No, the Scottish gov. din't pay if you go to an English Uni, only a scottish one. Even then, the uni's are getting pretty pissed because the government only pays them a smaller fee. Yeah, people do them for English Unis or for the subjects they will study at Uni, just to get them into the mindset..

So exams are over now, *general celebration noise* and i can finally get on with some modelling.

So that valhallan concept got some actual green stuff attention, I'm pretty happy with it, but the front of the hat is bothering me, I cant decide if it is the shape of the face, but somehow it doesn't seem to fit right to me, maybe I've been staring at it too long, whats your guy's opinions?

Also i forgot to add the straps on the bedroll, so where its constricted slightly there will be proper straps in the future. Also should i put the usual small skull symbol in the middle of the ushanka do you think?

I think your right Vik, Will have another bash at it, I think just bringing the whole thing forward slightly and level with the face will improve it massively, we will see.

with the added starp for the blanket you certainly improved the mini...

and if you aim for that hat- look then i would call it finished...

The plan is for them to be able to blend together in a squad if i get too lazy/poor to keep up with the death korps versions. I think the DKOK are a bit slighter, but its not a huge difference, I think your right, hes pretty good, i might test out a logo in the middle of the hat but we will see.

Annoyed he won't be able to see any paint soon, I'll have to make do with defiling more death korps. =]

well you could always make a lil cap on the hat just a round thingy for to get some colors of your regimental crest on...

for me the whole modeling aspect is much more satisfing as the actual painting...

Yeah, thats a good idea, might give that a go, thanks vik. =] I think i prefer modelling too, but sometimes i just get an itch to get a model from start to finish as soon as possible, just to try and see if it matches the image you have in your head, unfortunately my hands can't keep up usually and it's not quite what i wanted =p

that is so true to my own problems/needs... sometimes you just have to finish a mini... i am currently in a painting mood but that might change even tomorrow... whereas if i have fresh bitz lying around i really have to restrain myself from modeling... i have way too many unpainted and assabled minis flying around already^^

and yes...my painting skills never live up to my imagination

I don't think I ever noticed just how distinctive the DKOK head was until you swapped it out. Your Valhallans don't look like "DKOK w/ headswap" at all.

@Rawson - Thanks Rawson, It's not to bad, a roaring success, i was worried it would look like a poor head swap too, but it really changes the whole character of the model, even if it is blasphemy to cut off those beautiful heads, i might keep a couple of the masks, just give them hats, not sure though, might be a bit much DKOK parts.

@Gits - Lol! unfortunately i am too young to appreciate that Gits, and my google-fu is poor, I only get a load of pictures of an american footballer, with a frankly fairly boring hair-do, most disappointing.

Yeah but i am in first year, i think the later years start earlier. Finish on the 7th of june. Also we only started the year on October 3rd
