When ordering the Arcane Journal and cards for my Old World Empire army, in order to get the free shipping, I hade to buy something else to go along with it. Couldn't really decide on what to get so I just grabbed the cheapest LOTR minis I could find. Since I kinda already had a bunch of Gondor troops....

Honestly I like these models a lot and wish there was more variety in them. However I don't feel I gave them the best paint job. I did this fairly quickly and quite sloppy to be honest. Not my best work but at least they are done and not just being thrown in the pile of LOTR minis I have.

Finished base batch painting the armour of my scouts and began painting the next colour. I want to have them finished before the 1st kids' game day which is early February and my progress so far hasn't been good, oh well. Also practically finished my Striking Scorpion.

Did a bit more work on my scouts. Not as much as I'd liked, but it's something.

More batch painting base paints on my scouts. Started with the silver parts and with those on the minis are looking a bit better.

Building my Catachan Tank Commander. But only after some beans of course, I am a sensible fellow.

Starting a batch of 5 us soldiers for bolt action, I plan on getting them done for the week.

Agonizing over which Speedpaint 2.0 colour is closest to Australian Battledress January 1941 for the attack on Bardia.



Also I don't know how to make the picture here smaller :(.


I think I'm going with the 2nd one but I'm not really happy with any of them. I think the Vallejo English uniform I undercoating them with was too dark but the palebone I tried to do a Zenthial highlight with has made it too light.

Kitbashing 5 horse riding Hurakan Windchargers.
I like the unit, just not their kangaroo like mounts. So....

We'll see how they turn out.

2/5 finished & I'm pleased with the results.

Finished base painting my scouts. Now finally onto layering.

Once again, rumblings of possibly playing Battlefleet Gothic have increased in my group....

So today I have dug into my storage & pulled out my Necron fleet.
Now to inventory it & do needed repairs (just by looking in the box I can see a few detached fins & several broken flight stands.)

The guys that keep talking about BFG have no idea that I actually do own, pending repairs, a ready-to-go-fleet.

Edit: Not bad. Altogether I'm missing 1 fin from a Scythe Harvester & need to replace 4 flight stands.
And then I have to try & color match a paint scheme I did ??? ages ago on a couple of Dirge Raiders. Or strip everything else & start over....

Continuing the project of fixing up and repainting/retouching my Empire army I finally decided to start on my Knights. I have a whole pile of them that I really want to finally get all done...especially one unit of Knights that I base coated in 2007 and never got around to painting.

but before I do those I figured I'd touch up my original Knights I painted in 2004!



Nothing special with them, the paint on them I had originally done was a perfectly good base coat. I just washed and highlighted them. The only real repaint I did was the banner because my original was super bland.

Now I'll probably work on my Knight Panther. Same thing, wash and Highlight mostly.

Began highlighting the black cloth parts on my scouts.

Finished highlighting the black parts and fixed up some base paint mishaps. Started highlighting the armour.

I'll finish up the five us soldier I started on Monday, and with that will get to the goal of the week. I'll see if I manage to start 5 more tomorrow.

Frankly, I'd.just strip and start over if I were in your shoes.

Rebasing a Warhammer Quest Chaos Sorcerer who was on a straight slot rather than a diagonal slot so he fits in my units.

Boxing up my models today for the big move.

I spent my life trying to get away from this place.

Besides the weather. There's not much to like. But the Prodigal Son returns home.

Built a bunch of horses & a cart mini for our D&D game.

After a few days of twiddling my thumbs and being too tired I made myself work on my scouts. Finished highlighting the armour of five of them. I don't know how much I hoped I'd do today, but it was more than that, probably, lol.

Last few weeks I've been working on getting models ready for an upcomming game this weekend (always a good motivator). I've painted 15 Sisters of Silence (10 printed Vigilators and 5 Witchseekers) and just finished 1 Rhino to go with them, and now I'm all set for that game!

Still painting some extra SoS/Custo that I have around (and plan to print some more SoS later). Currently doing another 5 Vigilators as well as my new Blade Champion.

Painted up a horse drawn cart for use in our D&D games.

I finished my Kroot for Kill Team

If I can finish up this school paperwork, then I'll be working on my bretonnian bombard.

After finishing up all the Custodes models (and then some) that I needed for my game, I'm done with them for now! That's 20 Sisters (15 Vigilators and 5 Witchseekers), 1 Rhino, and 1 Blade Champion.

Now that the rush has passed, I'm taking it more chill and building some of my backlog of Nids. Got 10 Hormagaunts done, and now working on my 3rd and last Psycophage, doing some slight reposing so there's no copy-past between all 3.

I had finished up Tomb Swarms and Forest Goblin Spider Swarms but had to use spiders that were fairly large, so I only glued 3 per base. My brother's OCD kicked in and he bitched incessantly about it not being wound accurate. So now I have 20 more spiders painted and ready to be glued down once I get home from work.



NOW I'm in the process of flash-trimming and gluing my Tomb Kings Skeleton Warriors. 64 of them.
