You can get a pretty good look at it in the 360 pics from the Overkill box. Alphaecho's take looks fairly close.

Take more than the minute I did, shave some more off the back of the combi melta piece and the job's a good 'un.

Actually, I think I am going to see if anot Inferno Pistol will work better. It might have a thicker barrel. The combi-melta barrel might be a little thin.

Here are three of my terminators, flash is on so you can see the base coated space wolf, just next to him is the overkill guy and in the background is a chainfist where I just cut off the saw and replaced it with a combi melta barrel, the base coated guys came out a lot like the overkill mini before I'd seen the shape properly and that was using the wrist mounted one from the sanguinary guard box.

Combi-melta barrel is just right when compared to the overkill guy.

Well, technically speaking there's also Alexis, the IF character from forgeworld. Perhaps you can google his powerfist bit? Cause it includes an underslug meltagun on the powerfist.
That's a Combi-Melta Fist though.

No, it's a melta that's positioned the same way as the salamander, there's no bolter involved or anything.

Derp, okay I see what you mean now, there's no melta ammo tank or a full-size melta gun. It's indeed merely a combi-melta.

Your maths may vary, but the wait between first pics and release date is less than it used to be, and the wait between next set of pics is the same as before.

White Dwarf Weekly worked horribly with new releases. It was annoying to visit store on Saturday to see new WDW to showcase models you could buy... next Saturday. Or "pre-order" from website and get them next Saturday plus 3-5 business days. And all this was several days after we had seen leaked pictures.

I'd rather have high quality pictures to begin with and wait less to get my hands on new toys. It is definitely better than potato pictures and wait longer.

That's nice, but some of us were hoping the move back to a monthly WD would mean we would have more time to plan out purchases, not less. Not everyone has the income to consider GW model purchases impulse buys.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?

Monthly wd is going to show past month's releases so by the time those are seen releases are already done...

Just don't worry wether you buy it on release day or not. That way you have all the time you need. I regulary plan year ahead.

The new white dwarf is going to have a news section. I am hopeful that they will have hints about upcoming releases. Another difference with the new format is the army book release date. Previously they held back the army books until the penultimate week of a release but now they release it week one, so we saw the corvus weeks ago even though it is only up for preorder now.

Corvus looks good in 360. Major fail though with the front doors not being rhino compatible, but part of a hull piece. No way to swap them out. Still, for the price ($65, not 80 like the Void Raven or 75 like the Nephillim) I'll take at least 2.

Wait. The new Deathwatch kit is cheaper than the older Marine kits? Hallelujah! Or were the Vanguard made way more expensive with the add-on sprue (I doubt it going by last weeks releases)? I want that Watch Captain to make a DW Wolf Priest.

PS: If only the new AoS stuff was priced cheaper than existing similiar kits.

If they went for the Rhino doors, you'd not be able to drive a bike out of it lol.

Other than captain Artemis?

Cause clearly the Ultramarines are the best, so it is only natural that they lead the other, less experienced and wise battle brothers in fighting the Alien. After all, they are first among equals, the best of the best! :p

(Also, I imagine it's just the colours they are used to painting marines at this point, heh.)

The Termi Watch Captain is painted as a Crimson Fist and the Librarian is a BA. The Chaplain doesn't have any chapter iconography as far as I can see.

Yes, we know that now, however monthly WD used to cover the upcoming month and before we found out the new one would be a retrospective some had hoped this would be a return to that, since it often meant we got rumours much, much earlier than we have of late.

Just don't worry wether you buy it on release day or not. That way you have all the time you need. I regulary plan year ahead.

How exactly are you planning a year ahead when you don't know what's going to be released? As for "Just don't buy it on release day" that's hardly a very useful sentiment given GW's penchent for limited-run boxes, splash-releases etc - I already have a purchase plan going out well over six months, but what do I do if GW decide to shove, say, a new version of Mordheim out the door in a couple of months time as a splash-release the contents of which, once it's sold through, will only be available separately for much more money? They'd maybe give us a vague teaser a few days before preorders went up, and I don't know about other folk but I can't just cack out a couple of hundred quid on 10 days notice for hobbies. But hey, maybe by sheer chance I was already planning to spend that much that particular week, so I could just put off my other purchases and buy the new thing instead. Which works fine, until you put it off one week too long and GW stop selling it without any notice.

The present situation is bizarre, I don't know of any other entertainment product that deliberately avoids building hype and anticipation for products over a long enough period of time to maximise the number of potential sales; films, games, toys, you name it and there are teasers, interviews, rumours, more teasers, trailers, more interviews etc etc months, even years in advance of release, and that's for stuff that often costs a lot less than a GW new release. I mean I buy more FW stuff than GW-main-studio stuff these days despite it being more expensive, for the simple reason that I know roughly what's coming up months in advance and can plan my spending accordingly. Meanwhile GW put out the first plastic flier since the Valkyrie that I like, that I like enough I could easily see myself buying three or four of them, and instead I'll probably be able to scrape up the cash for just one in a couple of weeks time, because all we had was a super vague "vehicle" rumour, then a marginally less vague "flier" rumour and on the strength of previous GW plastic fliers I assumed it would be gash and didn't both to put money aside.

Eh whatever, GW gonna GW, it just confuses me why they seem so keen to leave money on the table.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?

I dont understand the BA termi librarian. His left shoulder pad is part of his arm so how are you meant to attache the DW shoulder pad?

Weird, hey?

Despite not knowing this and expecting them to be about the same price as the Vangard box, I still managed to save money ordering mine ('bout $AUD10 a box). So I'm fine.

Well, I guess put me down for one of those Chaplains. Not because I want to make him a Deathwatch Chaplain (Cassius is my Deathwatch Chaplain), but because I need him for my Crimson Fists. And really, getting ANOTHER upgrade sprue is totally worth it. With my planned purchases, I will have three of them. They are practically giving them away!

You're after the A4 size booklet with a colour print of Brother Captain Artemis on the cover + the Codex Harlequins if you want to go in deep.

The plastic chaplain is a stunning model. I managed to get my mitts on one a while back(eBay) when he was only available with that Reclusiam Command bundle (Razorback+ Command Squad+ chappy). So it's nice that he's finally in a clampack.
