All I keep hearing in my head is Badger Badger Badger Badger Badger...etc..

Haha, seriously though great work, you're inspiring me to try out a cheap airbrush!

Have you looked at Plasticville or O gage railroad train buildings?

Oh yeah! They are just kind of expensive. Whatever you do, don't go too cheap. I have heard that the neo by Iwata is the best china knock-off airbrush out there. And you can get parts at Hobby LObby. But if you go to Michaels'- do not question getting the Badger 150, the manual sucks, but it is a great General Purpose ab. The Badger renegade Krome that I ordererd is a detail ab, meant for very small lines. This must be why airbrush holders always hold 2- I guess it is pretty common for hobbyists and pros to have two abs.

Woot!
The snow has stopped, the sun is out, the roads are plowed. My GF and I have decided to take a ROAD TRIP today. The Grand Opening of the GW Store in Indianapolis, IN is today, and we are about to head out. I have only ever been to 1 real GW store before in Chicago, so this Grand Opening will be fun! I really want an Aquila flag

See you all later!

dave...with all that plasticcard goodness and skill that yoou have...and with the new aquired skills in airbrushing...AND with the masking tapes you now hold in your hands... you should really consider to built a tank from scratch and then give it a nice blocky urban camo scheme paintjob...i think this is a high oportunity...

and that rusty streak stuff...looks like it could be a true blessing...

and mate... i know your profession and that you americans are always sweating money...but hell...DINK aside...are ye really that rich to buy nearly every second day major stuff??? i am at awe...and no mistake!^^

HAHA, no Vik, not rich at all. No kids, the bills are all paid, and it helps that I have a gf who makes good $$ too. We don't go on crazy exotic vacations (only to games day and gencon), or drive expensive cars (my Kia and her 1986 jeep), or care to own a new home (we rent, it's cheap) or drink $5 Starbucks coffees like average Americans, or waste $5 on lottery cards. You of all people should know, I go to work, and I sit at my workbench and Dakka, and that is about it. We really only spend money on our hobbies, because that is how we enjoy life. Most couples have polar opposite interests, and so their money goes in different directions. Lauri and I are both geeks and best friends, and like a lot of the same things.

Like...dropping everything on a saturday and driving down to Indy for a GW grand opening! -That was HER idea btw

The place was packed! So we shopped, and got buttons and posters, and headed out
on the way of course, w had to stop at

Then we went to Jersey's - a diner that Guy Fieri visited on Diner's Drive-Ins, and Dives on TV
Great food, great day, great pile of goodies to show for it too.

That SHE bought me.

You are the first person ever to think I'm rich Vik, but with her around, I'd definitely say I'm Richer than most guys I know

if that name of your GF is indeed lauri... she is more worth han gold...even her name shows this...
http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/aurum

lauri means in short... the golden one...well...^^

whenever i make a short trip to our next GW i find this shop packed with humans...well some at least^^ some others look like they are rejects of a ghost train ^^ so it is no wonder that you left soon... bnut that pic sure shows some nice stuff... and you are a brave man to try out some finecast stuff too...

the books look mighty delicious...and...

empire militia stuff???? i do smell something new in the woods....^^

and i swear to the gods... here in berlin we have one lego world... a rather smallish sideshow thingy... but a full lego shop... now is that any wonder that you are a brickhead? i think we can now fully well close that case...^^

(by the way.. i suspect that this is your GF on the first pic...you making the pic and she being the only visible women in the wider area...am i right... tell her she has nice hair... from what i have heard... women like these sort of compliments^^)

oh and you never told us what the specific hobby of your GF is... beside of course Lego...

HAHA, yep. That is her and she is definitely Golden!
She reads Black Library novels faster than anyone in the world, of course Lego, and plays MMOs (SW:TOR atm) I have started building her a Dwarf Army too, but she is nervous (but wanting) to learn how to paint.

This was the first GW and the first Lego stores in the entire State of Indiana- Still about 1.5 hour drive away from home tho. The Lego store is amazing Vik! Not only do they have all the exclusive sets, The entire back wall is the pick-a-brick bins, you buy a container and fill it up with whatever fits! $8 for a small, $14 for a large!

i only know two stores that do that in berlin... and i think we would be in for way more cash for the pick a brick deal...lego is such expensive stuff these days...

i should think she should start painting them... i can´t think of not following one of her threads here(if she would want to...) and beside... she would get me as a foillower...now how is that for starters?^^

and besides... you two would get a whole new dimension of partnership talking oportunities^^

THis is how it USED to be for me:
her: "You're always down in the basement, you never want to spend time with me"
me: "ok, what do you want to do?
her: "nothing, forget it, I am pissed now, You'd rather spend time with your toys than me"
me: "yep"
