I would have a melta gun, according to Jurgen pretty much every issue can be solved with one, be it hordes of tyranids, chaos space marines, walls, you name it a melta gun has it covered

I would have to take and Assault Cannon, Power Fist and some Terminator Armor. It would be too easy to annihilate everything and take anything modern day weapons can throw at you

Probably a lasgun. Its ability to self-recharge would ensure that I could actually take the damn thing to the shooting range. How many shots do I get out of a meltagun magazine before I've got a really cool paperweight?

You don't get "shots" or magazines - you have fuel and a cannister; you can hold the trigger and keep melting till you run outta fuel. Then you whack 'em over the head with the thing.

There seems to be a wave of threadnomancy going on at the minute.. and pretty much every weapon under the Emperor's sun has been mentioned. Even some weapons that aren't exactly real.. or whatever counts as for real in a fictional setting.
If it came down to it, really, I think we'd all just go for the one that we could all actually use: the humble Lasgun. Essentially, it has unlimited ammunition and is incrediably simple to use and maintain. Just make sure the chinese secret police don't get their hands on you..

A monomolecular blade would be useful. The place I live has no central heating and I am constantly chopping up logs to keep up with the fire demands in winter. This would make it alot easier. Failing that I would like some lascannon power packs. Multiple gigajoule batteries to power my house for years? Yes please!

A lasgun. Probably the only one I could carry. Plus it's always sunny where I live so..unlimited ammo. So no bothering the guys over at Mars for ammo.
