This is just a silly bit of fun but if you could have any weapon in the 40K universe what it be?
I would have twin Wolf Claws (which oooh come with power armour) so I would run around pretending to be Wolverine.
For a gun either 1. A boltgun because it ie awesome or
2. A lasgun because I keep loosing my Maglite.

Hmm...
I chose a chainsword for the look of horror on people faces when i start to rev it.

Except that Dante had the only Inferno pistol in existence for a long time before Codex WH was even released, so it was actually stolen FIRST by WH from the BA. If you're going to complain someone stole something, at least get it correct.
I'd go for the Kantrael pattern Lasgun(aka, the Elysian Bullpup) with the parts to swap for the Sniper variant.

Weapon you say? Either a power sword, not really since I can't charge it up. Or a lasgun. I'd enjoy figuring out how to make it and selling it for massive moniez.

Inferno pistol is an old 2nd Dante thing. I still have the codex. Been playing awhile...
Anyways, I'll take a Power Fist (or "power glove" in 2nd ed speak, hehe). Of the Imperial guard variety not the big goofy SM versions.

Grey Knight Power Armor suit complete with Stormbolter and Nemesis Force Weapon.
Stormbolter for being awesome. NFW already puts me at S6 and gains Power and Force Weapon abilities as I grow stronger.
Armor shrouds me in darkness, protects me against psychic powers, and wards off daemons.
