I think those Howling Honds will make an apearance in my Space Wolves army

Any ideia if the female assault legs will be available for selling too? I got a great ideia for those, but need a lot of them ^^

If my post show some BAD spelling issues, please forgive-me, english is not my natural language, and i never received formal education on it...

I need female assault squad marines for my own army, so their next

I plan on doing a couple more leg variations. I'm also trying to see if the torso looks with the jump harness.

If Jacqulaine47 is has the time and is willing, we can make them available to our friends here at Dakka

I'd be curious to hear how you're planning on having the Hounds appear in your Space Wolves army

The Howling Hounds are done and are on their merry way to Chapterhouse Studio at last!

I'll post more pics later when I update my blog.

Cheers!

I just got my marines in the mail. They look Great! The sculpting is top notch and the casting shows not a single flaw. I'd like to give my highest compliments to Space Corsair and Jacqualine47 on the great work!

Thank you all for your continued support

Yeah, I thought manshee was a silly idea too when Nick first proposed the idea to me. But I like to think I managed to pull it off pretty well.

I really need to learn how to take better pics though. I don't think my poorly taken photos do them justice

Zuul,

The greatest compliment for me as a sculptor is to see my figures painted by my fellow hobbyists and gamers; so please post pics of your painted figures

I'm glad you like them!

I'm looking forward to casting anything else Space Corsair sends me - I'm looking forward to those assault marine sculpts myself for my Astral Claws army. My hope is to eventually be able to offer the helmets as all the same type of the buyer's choice rather than the current variety pack, but I've got to get more silicone before I can make additional molds of the heads.

By the way everyone, to make things easier and to offer better buyer protection, I put the kits on ebay at http://www.ebay.com/itm/330721206800?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 I think that that will make it easier for people to get access to Space Corsair's wonderful kit.

Wow. Just started discovered this blog, your sculpts are incredible. I love how dynamic your posing is! I'm a complete noob at green stuff so this is highly inspirational!

Hi all,

Just letting you know that E-bay removed the listing - they claimed that it was counterfeiting (basically, they thought I was a re-caster), but I'm contesting it and am confident that once I go through E-bay's process they will repost the listing since it doesn't violate their terms of service.

In the meantime, don't worry - everything that's been paid for is still being shipped out, and you can still get Space Corsair's kit by e-mailing or PMing me.

Any chance of getting plain shoulder pad sets and some regular arms for those female marines o.o I'm not the best at greenstuffing but beyond the pair that come with arms nothing seems to fit D:, the shoulder pads too are huge by comparison :<

Marien Shoulderpads are SUPPOSED to be huge.

I plan to use some RTB-01 arms with shortened forearms. They're smaller than than the current line and fit the models a bit better. IMHO at least.

So is marine armour but they've been scaled down to the females size. when I say the regular pads are too big, I mean if they had there arm extended straight the pad would likely come down to there forearm and then some as well as be dangling widely off either side of the shoulder.

RTB-01 arms?

You are using standard marine arms with standard marine pads right? Wouldn't that imply that the regular pads are too big for the regular marine arms too?

You are probably going to have to play around with the placement of the pads until you find one that looks okay. I find that I have to do that with the regular marine models at times too. You do have to fiddle around with it more to find the right placement than the male model though.

There are pics with examples of the models using regular marine arms and pads on the first two pages of this blog.

I thought the over-sized shoulder pads and the arms looked fine on them, but maybe I was willing to overlook it because I just didn't want to sculpt the pads and arms

Let me try putting some models together myself this weekend to see what the problem is.

Hopefully I can figure out a solution that doesn't require me to sculpt blank pads and sets of arms; I just started sculpting female arms for my female Guards and am finding them rather tedious and time consuming to sculpt sets of the same arms in multiple poses

Sorry for the delay but this was the open beta test weekend for Guild Wars 2

As promised I tried dry fitting the models.

They are put together with just superglue; no green stuff. Don't forget to pin the models together since I'm not sure how well the resin adheres to the plastics parts.

Personally I think they look fine but I like huge shoulder pads; it's one of my favorite features of the space marine design

If it really bothers you all, I can sculpt a slightly smaller pad. But you folks are going to have to convince Jacqualine to cast them up for you

Let me know what you think

The tough part only really comes when you try to put one of those pads on the pre-sculpted arms, they are just a touch too small as there smaller then regular marine arms. Though thats fixable by removing them. I have some arms and such on the way as is so we'll see how that goes

A quick update on some stuff I'm currently working on.

First up are two more leg options for the female marines; kneeling pose and another assault pose. I'm working on one more assault type legs and torso with chest harness for the upcoming female assault marine set.

I recently had a bout of nostalgia and picked up the Battletech Introductory Boxset, which made me want to try sculpting mechs

The female commissar is almost there. I've started working on her weapon options already.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Sasa0mg,

Yep, it does take a bit of fiddling around to get the shoulder pads placed, especially on the one with the pre-sculpted arms. You have to kind of fudge the placement of it on the shoulder to make it look right.

I hope they works better for you with the standard arms. Please keep me posted.

In the meanwhile I'll try sculpting up a smaller shoulder pad to see if it looks better. I'm always looking for ways to improve my stuff.

I'm absolutely with nightside on this!!

Sculpting and poses of the legs and the commissar are awsome!!
And would it be possible to get those mechanical legs for battletech mechs also as bionic legs for Space Marines, as they look really fitting?

P.S.: Concerning the schoulderpad question, i ordered a lot of FW Mark VI ones and also arms, as the are a tad thinner and smaller than the normal plastic ones.
As soon as i get my sets i will post some pics.

Thanks! Glad to hear you guys like the female commissar.

I'm hoping to get her done sculpting this weekend. Then hopefully my casters, jacqualine47 or coyotius, will have the time to get them cast up for us so she can join your guards and kick some ass

miniholic

Yeah, I'd really appreciate it if you post pics of the FW Mark IV arms so I can see them for reference. If it makes enough of a difference, I might be forced to sculpt smaller arms for the female marine

I'm sculpting the mech's torso and legs as separate pieces, so it might work on the marine torsos. The legs might be a little big though. I'll give it a try once the legs are done and see if they fit.

Hey Vik!

I been lurking on RSJake's PM Blog for ages and enjoy hearing the bantering between you guys

Speaking of RSJake, I've recently commissioned him to do a character design sketch. I wanted to have some fun sculpting a sexy dominatrix type femme fatale, Chaos style! and figured he'd be great for coming up with the design
