Yay! Jacqualine's back!

Now that I don't have to figure out how to get them cast, I'll get back to working on the female guards, female marine arms and biker legs, the female space elf heads and the pawnies

Glad to hear Meow Meow has reopened! I'm making an order right now .

And now Meow Meow Miniatures is closed permanently

Jacqualine has been having a tough time all this year and has been struggling to find the time to get any casting done to fill the orders. I sincerely hope it all turns out well her and her family.

I want to thank Jacqualine for allowing me a chance to offer my sculpts to my fellow gamers. If it wasn't for her tremendous efforts in mold making, casting, setting up the online store, taking, filling and shipping out the orders, all on her own personal time after work, I would not have been able to share my sculpts with you all.

Thank you Jacqualine; you rock!

For me, I'm still busy working as a computer game artist and at the end of the day, I just don't have enough creative energy (or the time) to get much sculpting done. My wife and I are expecting our new baby next month, so I doubt I'll be getting much sculpting done for awhile

Though I recently acquired a Chaos Marine army on eBay, so we'll see what comes of that...

Just noticed that the Howling hounds (a.k.a. Manshees) has finally been released over at ChapterHouse Studios:

http://chapterhousestudios.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=118&product_id=259

They are calling them 'Warp Stalkers' now though. I suppose it's understandable considering the bad rep that Howling Banshees seem to have gotten in this edition's codex.

Can't say I'm crazy about the paint job. But maybe my expectations were too high after seeing Angel Giraldez's paint job on the Female Space Elf Ninja miniature.

Congrats on becoming a new dad!

If you do find time to progress any of your sculpts I'd be interested in selling them via Great White Miniatures, actually I'd be interested in producing the commissar if Jacqualine no longer wants to do that?

Congrats Space Corsair!
I'm glad a bought a whole bunch of spare parts before Meow Meow closed.
Just thought I'd let you guys know I have finally finished about 1850 points worth of Sisters using Space Corsairs Female Marine Parts. I have a gallery dedicated to them:

http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/images-60342-37735_Adepta%20Sororitas%20Scratch%20Build.html
Also if you guys don't mind, I have entered a competition on facebook to win a kickstart voucher to my next army. If you guys like what you see I would love it if you could chuck me a like on my entry. I don't think I'll win, entered too late, but its worth a try. Thanks guys.

Congrats on the (hopefully) recently arrived little sculptor!

I have run into the same or at least similar lack of hobby time. I hope you can get back to it in a few months.

Feel lucky if you get an hour of sleep or more for the first several months.

Happy Holidays and Season's Greetings!

My baby girl is 2 month old now and doing very well. She's so cute when she looks at me and smiles that it makes up for all the hard work

She's just starting to sleep through out the night. Hopefully, another month or two and I should be able to start finding some time and energy to spare for my hobbies again; I've got that Chaos Marines army waiting to be put together

Cheers!

Yep, true that

They grow up so fast; my oldest daughter just drove her younger sister down to Pasadena to start college.

My oldest is already a Lead Artist at a successful iPhone game developer and my younger daughter is continuing her journey as an artist at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.

I wonder if our new baby will follow the family trend and become an artist too. My wife is hoping she becomes something more respectable like a doctor or scientist though

Anyways, I like to think that now that I'm older and somewhat wiser, I can manage to balance my family, career and my hobby well enough to have time for gaming. Wish me luck; I'll probably need it

Turtle Power beats threadomancy everyday of the week.

I was just thinking about converting Zombicide into other genres, especially TMNT (survivors) versus the foot clan (zombies, with the main villians as abominations) .

Thanks Zuul! Nice to be back

Got the weapon arms removed and made into separate parts in preparation for making the mold. Also removed the sculpts from the cork base and is now ready to be buried halfway in clay next.

Currently working on getting my pressure pot and compressor set up while I wait for my order of the mold making and casting materials to be delivered.

Got the first 2 sculpts set halfway in the clay to the parting line.

My pressure pot only has a 9" diameter at the bottom, so I had to resize the Lego base to fit. I can only get 2 sculpts in per mold at that size. I need to go buy more Legos to start working on the remaining 2 sculpts.

Finally got the mold done for two of the turtles and started practicing casting under pressure.

Still working on getting the kinks out of the process but casting resin under pressure in a pot with a compressor is definitely the way to go!
