Argh spent all day painting my remaining guys layer by layer every time I look at them they still have so much needing doing- I'm going to start dreaming on red capes and gold paint like I did with the dryads.

Where is your blog johnny?

Hi

I've been stalking you for some time now and I find you pretty cool with these "vlogs" but I would like to whine about some things.

Sound editing. In the videos sound is somewhat inconsistent (the warhammerjoyey theme song is lauder than your talking voice). If you could do anything about that would be awesome.

Pic posting. I'm not sure who's hdd you are filling with your pics but I know it isn't yakface's. So if you could would you submit pics to Dakka's gallery as it's free and there is no bandwidth limitation (like with some image hosting sites). This way you could get even more feedback as people could vote and comment your pics.

And I don't think your spellsinger looks christmasy more like rich autum look http://www.thewallpapers.org/photo/20618/autumn-leaves-001.jpg

And because wanted to see some conversions so here is (one of) mine http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2012/2/12/328783_md-Ork%20and%20his%20shoota.jpg

Every time I hear "in my opinion" or "just my opinion" makes me want to strangle a puppy. People use their opinions as a shield that other poeple can't critisize and that is bs.

If you can't defend or won't defend your opinion then that "opinion" is bs. Stop trying to tip-toe and defend what you believe in.

I think the only way to fix the sound is by having a microphone. Currently I'm just using the one on the laptop and if I have it too loud it only picks up the horrific sound of the fan. You're right though- I'm trying to fix it.

Ok yes I'll post some to the gallery

I love the conversion he's really sawing into that guys face haha.

@DarkStarSabre I love the model progression of the old and the new and how you've improved with practise. I'm hoping to have such picture's in years to come

Goodness gracious! I've had the busiest day ever and two battles each over three hours and I'm knackered!
First time going to a club and it was amazing! Will do my written report tomorrow evening after work

Why I love tournaments. 3 games in 7 hours

It's shorter and sweeter (I hope) than the last one.
It's a video about my learning rather than the actual battle events since it was far too indepth to cover the whole thing. Hope you like

I agree with smaller games for beginners. Also two softer armies playing two cheesey armies is not fun. Hydra and a A-Bomb? The guys should apologize IMO.

Great wardrobe and great vid Joey!

Yeh smaller games are always a good place to start and although getting destroyed isn't much fun it's probably a quick way to learn. I mean, nice evenly matched games will stop you getting fed up and keep you motivated but there is nothing like soul crushing defeat to inspire a courageous comeback!

I'm all about the revenge victory! The nastier the defeat the sweeter my next victory will be
I don't want people to take it easy on me. I may be new but I'm not that sensitive and I can take it /flex !!
Fortunately I won rather nicely in my battle later than day so it's not all bad!

What spells did you have on your Weaver? Dryads with +4toughness (Flesh to Stone with Throne of Vines up) might have lasted longer vs the hydra. Also flaming attacks are a good thing to have in your army. Giving one of your Glade Guard units flaming banner can stop Regeneration.

Glad you had fun.

First let me start my first post on this P&M telling Casey that this will be going into my Sig as a favorite Quote!

Second, let me throw my Dismay at Johnny for not only not inviting me to the fan club, but also for not telling me that this very fun blog even existed...Shame on you Johnny...Shame

Now Joey here is what I have to say

I really like the flavor and dedication you have come into this hobby with, it really it quite nice to see someone enjoy it as much.
I must say for being a first timer you have picked up a lot of the basics very quickly and to complete 1500 points in such a short time is also awesome.
I have been working on my 1500 point WOC army and it's still not finished.
Now I can say that I have spent the last hour and something minutes watching all of your video's and reading through your blog. (Was not a huge deal as I am stuck at a drug study and found it fun to pass the time)

Consider me subbed and can not wait to see some more from your wood elves!

I can say your "Bark" is as scary as your bite!

This may give you a good bit of reading, I found it quite helpful.

"Bell of Lost Souls" is a good site you may want to check in on once in a while!

Hope this helps!

Joey - your vlog/blog is awesome, I wish it had been around when I first started modelling + painting!
Funniest comment so far (apart from the tree puns!): "Eyeliner is hard to do, and I do it on a train!"

Keep up the great work!

PS - just watched the latest vid - General Trevous - hahaha!

Wait, you met a man on the internet, who plays with little toy soldiers by the way, and you arranged to meet him and let him drive you somewhere? Well that's certainly not a recipe for rape. Silly, Joey!
Do be more careful in future, if you selfishly get killed by a psycho what am i going to watch on youtube?!

Otherwise, great video! Starting to feel very professional and engaging, there is a marked improvement which is making the whole experience more enjoyable.

Sounds like when you were playing, that guy was using some Jedi Mind Tricks on you and your movement.

Also Casey is very correct in the recipe for rape! If they tell you there is a cool gaming club in the basement of some place that you have to be blindfolded to get to.....Don't do it! lolz

Otherwise you dance your little heart out because now your on your way to the winners circle!!!!!!

Congrats

I promise that I wasn't reckless about meeting a stranger I checked this guy was not a serial rapist/ killer before I hopped in the car. Thank you for caring... but the force was with me
I'm glad you liked it! It's getting there x

...But we haven't had an update in three days, should we be worried?

No No, I've been cracking on with looking into the magic lores. Truth be told I feel like I need to be painting something at all times to be productive.
Also arranged a match at GW against dwarves this time. Against the same staff member though I am hungry for revenge so I've been looking up the best way to take them on :S
I know there are a few bolt throwers and cannons but I want to try not to get completely annihilated.

Can you outflank your Glade Riders to scare the bejesus out of his artillery? I think that would work really well. Apart from that... make sure you're getting a cover save as often as possible?

Cool new series, dude. I don't play fantasy as you know but that was very informative nonetheless! Good length too, short at sweet, keep them coming!
