I think this'll be a very tough one to judge...
Thanx Vik for not crushing my dreams As said, the plastic wrapper will be used... It'll be a canvas sheet to protect the locals from rain... (spoilerspoiler)

Eh...
Inmygravenimage: That's sweet dude. I bet her ass is bad...
Camkierhi - What a load of rubbish... Amazing!
Rogue Wolves - Its rediculous how much character you pack into those guys
Skalk Bloodaxe: I know those will be awesome when finished, but right now they look like crackers.

hey maus... i am not the man for crushing dreams... i settle for crushing peeps tho

and maus... that sprue work... be sure to include that in the sprue thread... buiding alternative terrain with sprue!

at mr.merlin...

now that is what i call a cool looking roky structure... will the container on yon trukk will be removabe?...and i like the idea of it filling or getting filled by the cookie factory...one minor issue tho... the toilet roll... will you do something to cover the diagonal slit there? that tends to ruin the look once painted... better use some paper ot something to cover it up....

Actually, i'd keep that diagonal line and paint the entire back thing as if it were a can of Danerolls (canned croissant doug )

lol thanks guys.... I was thinking about putting some rivets along that diagonal line.... with cookie batter oozing out. To make it look like a big sheet of srap metal quickly bent into the right shape lol

Great stuff Mr Merlin, love the cookie batter tank, nice work with the battered panels.

That sump pool is looking horrible, and therefore very nice MauS. Good work guys.

Rogue, that's part of the battery compartment from a camera. A Sony Cybershot to be accurate, although you'll find similar in most battery powered hand held electronics.

And progress - The pipework and the treadplate have taken a bit of a beating now:

Pipe's done, bit more needed on the 'plate.

Other side's a bit bare still, but there's the pipe-stack and a crate to go yet.

Really great work. But I am not going to be able to join this one.....

The supplies for my Steampunk Idea have been delayed and just as well I suppose. I really need to continue working non-stop on the titans. Thanks for the cookies, though, Vik. My wife wouldn't have let my fat @$$ get them otherwise.

@Monkeytroll - Wonderful, wonderful, hugely demoralising stuff! Your weathering is top notch, particularly on the pipe - I've got a couple of pictures I stole off your blog a few months ago that I still refer to when I'm trying to do weathered plate Keep it up!

@Mr M - It's coming together really well! I love all the detail in the chimneys on the roof, and where did you get that flexible plastic hose? I'd echo the comments on the toilet roll, but your cookie batter plan sounds really interesting too - I'd just worry that the spiral of toilet roll is potentially a really recognisable shape... The truck looks fanastic, by the way!

@MauS - Still looking wonderful, great work with the sprue. I'm really looking forward to your context pics! The little detail in the warning sign is awesome, and I'm not sure what you've done, but that water looks plenty murky enough to me

A little underwhelming after that lot, but here's my teaser update:

Not as much progress as I was hoping by now, but it's a start!

Very nice weathering on that, scarper! How'd you do it??

Thanks for the comment! That plastic hose comes from my "ancient" LEGO stuff.
Yeah, I really see the problem with the toilet roll... I think I'll have to find a way to cover it up. Hopefully that tredplate I ordered arives today...

Expect an update later today.

Wow Scarp, there's nothing underwhelming about that, beautiful weathering, and it looks great against that blue.

That outpost is looking sweet MauS, the only thing I'd suggest would be some rope, chains or perhaps..rivets..keeping some of the sprue beams together.

And started in on the next stage of weathering.

Wow you guys, those are looking fantastic!

Here's the pieces I mentioned...
Spoiler:

As you can see, there is still plenty to do to them, let alone painting... since I've lost me favorite GS sculpting tool, I could give it a go. What do you think?

Thanks guys! The weathering is just a mix of stippled GW paints, a few oil washes and some powders on a base of boltgun; followed by salt, hairspray and blue primer. I'm fairly new to several stages in that process Glad you like it though, cause there's more:

@MauS - Great little nest! Really characterful update, I love it. Woodgrain on the lasgun stock in particular is a lovely touch.

@Monkeytroll - *jawdrop* Beautiful weathering! Do you mind if I ask your recipe on the casing and highlights? I'd love to replicate that blue/gray on something of my own someday.

@The Good Green - Wonderful fortress! I love the squig pen, but I wouldn't feel comfortable with only some mesh screening me from a beastie like that
