Beautiful recent stuff again, mate. Man, I love your colour palette and basing style!

Ah yes, mission creep in the hobby is something to behold isn't it?

Thanks guys!

Well I haven't made any recent hobby purchases yet. If I recall correctly, not for an entire year. As the end of the year is approaching, it's time to look back at what's finished. Not having bought anything really brings the pile down. Meanwhile I've been doing some hobby stuff. Painted two more dudes for Test Of Honour but I have to admit, the candle of interest has burned out, at least for a while. I've been digging up my ancients stuff again. Also, I've been looking at proxies I could use for MESBG. GW pricing is just a bit too steep for me, espcecially as most of the line is just really old sculpts. I've done loads of those starting the hobby as a kid, not looking forward to painting a bunch of GW lotr orcs again. More on that later.

Now the exciting part! Pictures!

The last two TOH guys for a while. Samurai and Shinobi. I've muted the colors on the Shinobi. Was basing it off some old Yokai woodprints I saw earlier but can't find again. Imagine just a masked head - without a body-coming at you with deadly intent. Or don't, it's a ninja, the point is you won't see 'em.

Next up, some WIP on Alexander! Model is from Wargames Ilustrated's Giants in miniature. Found him in a box somewhere. He'll need some buddies to lead soon. Victrix has some nice Macedonians I noticed.

I also got some assembling done. Figured I'd start on the rest of those Spartans next.

That's all for now folks!

Salutations!

Started a little assembly line for the Spartans. Ten more are primed and I built 6 more light cavalry. There's two more in the set to be built but Victrix does not supply enough bronze shields in this set for the full 12. There are shields for Tarantine cavalry but I don't feel like mixing. Maybe if I buy a second set I can do 12 regular light cavalry and 12 Tarantine cavalry. Does feel like a sneaky marketing trick though.

When these are completed I'll have 30 Spartan hoplites and 10 light cavalry. Solid start.

Anyway, here's what the workbench looks like at the moment.

See you next time!
