If by the one with Darkseid you mean FInal Crisis then you are talking about the one where Batman is investigating who shot Orion which is the event that kicked off the whole thing.

I don't know, is it the one with the grey guy (not Christian) who is from the planet apocalypse and shoot lasers from his eye because he is a god? And he is looking for an equation, but like, with violence instead of using a white board like most people working on equations do? I think it's this one.
Is Batman investigating the god good? I tried to search Final Crisis and apparently it's about Batman using a god-killing bullet that send him in the past but people think he is dead when in fact he is tracked by a thing that will kill everyone when he is done investigating the cavemen? Sounded a bit confusing.
Would you recommend that one to someone who likes story about detectives and investigation?

No! Because that story is a massive confusing mess without about 4 times it's page count in tie in comics to make any of it make any sense. But yes, it ends with Batman using the bullet that is fired backwards through time (comic books are dumb) to stop Darkseid while Darkseid uses bending eye lasers to "kill" batman but actually send him backwards through time.

Or...

You could just look at any content in any form where Ras talks to or about Batman (besides the Nolan movies. Again, he is an idiot and the worst Batman).

Ah! Would you say it is a fair assessment to say that it's best to avoid any comics with "Crisis" in the title, unless this comic has been explicitly recommended by a friendly acquaintance?

Would you say that Batman's detectiveness is more on the "tell, don't show" school of thought?

I wonder why they say Batman is the greatest detective when we all know the greatest detective is Rorschach! He spends all the time when he is not beating up criminals investigating by threatening criminals to beat them up if they don't talk . Meanwhile, Batman spends time pretending to be Bruce Wayne, that's gives Rorschach a big head up!

The only Batmen that I thought were aggressively bad were the George Clooney and Val Kilmer ones. I think the iconic Batman for me is probably TAS.

Also, not sure if this got covered - I don't think I saw it, skimming the thread - but the movie is having a production delay; Robert Pattinson caught the 'rona.

I think Kilmer did a decent job, it was the REST of the movie that was godawful.

Part of me wants to think Chris O'Donnell did a good job of what was essentially Nightwing in his Robin outfit

That's a pretty good place to be in, in my view.

I'll grant you fights end up happening anyway, but in TAS Batman occasionally goes out in disguise to dig up information.

I will forever love the comic where Batman goes to a criminal hangout disguised as Hush.

You might like the Animated Series' episode "Almost Got 'im".

Remember when George Cloony, a 36 year old man, adopted Chris O'Donnel, a 27 year old man, in Batman and Robin? That was weird as feth.

That will forever be Killer Croc’s most iconic line, and he didn’t even say it.

Incidentally there’s a card game based on this specific episode.

P.S. Still not as good as disguising himself as Hush. If you don’t know who Hush is, he’s had plastic surgery so he looks identical to Bruce Wayne.

Re: Chris O'Donnell - No, I'm not saying he's doing terrible. His career never cratered. But the thing his, he was on the cusp of being super top of the A-list for what felt like 5 years, and he just never quite... got there. He almost got the lead in Titanic, but lost out to Leo. He almost got cast as Spider-Man, but lost out to Tobey. He turned down being Agent J in Men in Black.

And from there on out, it was pretty much TV and B/DTV movies. He came so close.

Thank the lord he turned down Agent J. Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones were a truly dynamic duo.

Also, can we spoil gigantic images in the future so they don't cover the entire screen?

The episode surrounding him in Batman: The Brave and The Bold is definitely one of my favourite Batman episodes. Helps that there's literally a song and dance number about superheroes and their...."sexual inadequacies".
