Wow, those Necrons look cool!

It's the same Crytek model - with a cohort of newer addons that are kind of expanded - eg two little plasmacytes

The rest seems to be an upgrade kit for the regular sniper/heavyweapon immortals. Eg different heads for snipers

Overall feels nice for the Necrons, but this is very very much an amazing set for the IG. To be fair Necrons have had a LOT as of late, surprised they didn't use this to add one of the existing heroes getting a plastic release as that's almost all that remains of the old range in need of an update

Ah, I see. Its a cryptek unit sprue, the current immortal box and an upgrade sprue.

Couple extra terrain frames. Meh- not even worth showing off.

"invocatus" is a weird name for a berserker riding a juggernaut thing. Sounds more like a sorcerer

No no no….what was that behind the champion.

Just in the background. Kinda looked like Juggers yoked up to something….

Juggernaut's front horn blade wasn't enough so it's a chainblade as well.

'Cheeky tease'-

Oh, yeah. That's definitely dark mechanicum related.
Did one of the big names in the mechanicum ascend to a daemon prince during the Heresy?

Oh well. Daemon Gribbly thing looks wicked, and resolves a Rumour Engine or two.

Missed the reveal of the Commissar but it's just gone up in the preview article. Er, yeah, that's a disaster. The rest of it is 10/10 and brings GW up to date with all the great third party Guard proxies that are out there these days

Another over-hyped fairly weak preview when it comes to amount of reveals. Everything shown is excellent, but there actually isn't that much of it...

Complete world eaters line should have been shown imo.

There was a vague might (I think because they were running behind), but they did say this was about half of the releases.
Though obviously the Kasrkin qualify as more IG shown off.

I don't love the kneepads that are apparently sewn in to the trousers, if I were to nitpick - I'd have liked to see some straps holding them on or something, big lumps of metal flopping around in the regimental laundry machines must be a nightmare

Darn it GW that teaser monster should be a Lictor a LICTOR!!! Darn it not some insane melting of machine and flesh and chaos with blades and spikes!1

Overall really solid reveals - IG are getting a fantastic update of their core and all those models look really fantastic. Lot of optional parts, decorative parts, mult-weapon kits and more.

The new Expansion sounds good, solid way to make a Space Hulk experience into the core game and I really hope it brings some fun games to the table.

Necron stuff feels ok if a little lacking; kind of more like an upgrade pack in feel than a solid update. However Necrons have had a lot over the last few years so its not like they are sore for new shiny things to play with.

New Juggernaught looks fantastic and the hints of perhaps dark mechanicus are going to be torment for me as that's a really cool theme for Chaos that I think could look utterly outstanding on the tabletop.

I think my only crit is that it didn't really feel much like they celebrated the past of 40K much. A lot of talk about 35 years, but the only bit was a bit of "these were my first models" at the start. Kinda wish/felt they could have done more than two guys chatting about the past for 15mins on that front. Granted it would have been "filler" for those just here for new model reveals; which were always going to be the big highlight; but it would have been nice for a little more history feel

It's a generic Commissar, likely intended to be used for the Elite slot rather than the HQ slot.

Looks way, way better than the garbage Lord-Commissar or the Officio Prefectus one.

They just look like current US military ones. Shrug.

The Cadian stuff looks excellent, apart the commissar. It still is super weird though that they very recently did an upgrade sprue for the old kit.

Going to be honest, that old berserker on juggernaut was on screen for way too long. I wanted to look at the good new kit, not the old trash (that's made even worse in comparison).

35 years was an odd excuse to do a Guard preview show. Burning more time on it would have just been painful- I don't really need to reflect on bad purchase decisions from my tween/teen years.

Unless there's some I've not seen that feature big lumps of metal appliqued on to the outside of the trousers, not really

Aside from the prefectus one which was still fairly characterful just oddly proportioned, I'd say this is comfortably the weakest Commissar they've ever put out
