Yeah, the skin was something. Quite an exercise in layering/blending/glazing. A quick note, the sheen you are seeing is painted on for the most part. She has a pretty matte finish. I was going for sweat/suntan oil. Or something like that.
When I first saw the finished model, I wondered whether those highlights were painted on or reflections of ambient light. Very effective.
I look forward to seeing your take on the Green Knight- there's a lot of interesting detail to work with there.

Cammy and the Nights Watch turned out great! (We’ve been rewatching GoT and I think it’s better second time around as there was loads that I missed first time.) those ASPIAF minis are really cool, even the duplicates!

Thanks, guys! Always appreciate the comments.
Green Knight has stalled. Primed and sitting. Real life has been hectic and motivation is low. Switching gears to a couple Star Eagles prototypes. Hopefully knock these out by the end of the month.
Just showed the kids The Last Starfighter, so spaceships are on my mind. Interstellar!
Thanks for looking!

Wrapped up the Night's Grunts. I hate that I still love seeing units of minis. I feel like I have been conditioned to collect and paint a certain way, sometimes, and that way is no longer practical. Why paint ten of something when I get what I need by painting five? Or one? Need to look into that. Anyway, on to the next block of infantry.
And I fired up the 3D printer again. It has slumbered, but after getting Cammy done I feel OK printing this guy. A Rancor. Who may or may not end up as part of the Mando collection with a handler or rider.
Still working on the Star Eagle ships. Thanks for looking!

I think I agree with you about units. I have four big armies )and two smaller ones) for Kings of War that fill me with joy when I look over them, but at the same time with despair because I know I will likely never field them. They are taking up a lot of space, but I just can't seem to get rid of them...
Going from that near- life sized Cammy model to some teeny-tiny spaceships must have given you whiplash.

JoshInJapan, it was definitely a shift.
Tommygun, I don't know. I don't play Legion, I just collect the Mandos.
Ships are done.
Fun little things. Here's a pic with some of my CAV force, which the not-Gunstar was painted to match.
Also finished the Zoat for Blood Bowl. Not an official GW mini, I believe it was made by Impact!
And with some of the Wood Elf team.
Still trucking along, albeit slowly. Have my entry for Glow Up picked out. Have my entry for the extended summer challenge, too, I think. Always plenty to do.
Thanks for looking!

Indeed. The other references the Gunstar from Last Starfighter. A couple more of the prototypes were homage pieces. Not sure how many made it to production.

Thank you, ZergSmasher!
All your Zoats are belong to us.
Challenge models this month are something I have wanted to do for a bit, but couldn't wedge into the schedule. Judge Dredd from Citadel and Foundry. Not even sure where the original came from. Must have bought it at some point. The Foundry preview pack I bought when it came out, and like so many other minis, they have sat since then. I remember thinking 18 bucks for four minis was audacious. Oh, the innocence of youth.
And for the summer blowout, the two 3D printed wraithknights with Shadow Spectre mod.
Plenty to do. Thanks for looking!

I try not to think about the value of stuff on the shelf <eyes his 2 zoats> I’ve never heard anything but laments from people parting with models.

Good bit of old and new dredd there, looking forward to the comic book style.
I’m with Nev on only hearing laments over stuff people have parted with. I’m still p*ssed with past Gobert for binning his RTB9 Terminators. I am however thinking of selling my brother Undead stuff. The rest will only go if I die or struggle with mortgage payments

Pretty much done. Just need to varnish and do the bases. Fun models. The face sculpt on oldie is just...damn. He definitely has what is commonly referred to as "charm."
Need to get those Wraithknights cooking, working on Velma 2.0, another Mando and more Night's Watch. Always plenty to do. Thanks for looking!

The magic of Contrast, Olthannon!
OK, after a brief vacation, got the bases finished and the Dredds are all done.
First, the smaller, older version from Citadel/ GW.
Second, slightly newer (price tag said '02), significantly larger version from Foundry.
And together.
The wrong side of the law.
Fun to do. Neat to have in the cabinet. Glad to finally have them done. The monthly challenge is a great motivator.
Still going on a Mando, NW boys, Velma, Wraithknights and I added a Valkyrie from Shadows of Brimstone because we are playing that again. Yay. Also pledged for Mythic Battles: Isfet. Because hey, why not.
Thanks for looking!

Scale creep is a lie. The “bigger” one obviously has a a more upright pose. The other one is more crouching/squatting. /sarcasm.

Thank you very much for the comments!
Finished up a couple models. First up, another Mando I refer to as No-Katan, since they haven't seen fit to release her for Legion yet, despite being one of the first out of the gate for Shatterpoint. Seeing what has gone down with X-Wing and Armada, I'm not holding my breath.
And the back.
And the group as it stands, so far.
Got the Valkyrie for Shadows of Brimstone sorted in short order. Nothing too spectacular going on here, model or paint-wise, but she's done. I feel that way about a lot of the models for that game. Close to awesome, but not quite there.
That said, this model stands tall over her sister in the same box. That one may as well be a cardboard standee.
Plenty more on the go. Thanks for looking!

Nice work on the Valkyrie, the Shadows of Brimstone minis are really improving, that's a big step up from the detail-less blobs I got from their first kickstarter.
