End result looks great, love the glow of those XL plasmas. Also I wouldn't have guessed it's a print apart from the lines being a bit sharper than FW resin

I sure am! That sheen is IMO really smart and fits Cammy-in-a-swimsuit to a t.

The Sicaran looks great- that purple power glow really pops.

Congratulations on the big win youwashock! Absolutely deserved And your Sicaran turned out great. From the pictures I wouldn't be able to tell it was a 3D print, especially not an FDM print! And wowweee! That is quite a deposit of old-hobby-goodness! Look forward to seeing some (all ) of it painted up soon.

I appreciate that very much, Boss Salvage. Unfortunately, this is one of those rare cases where the picture looks better than the real thing. After some deliberation, I have scrapped that process and will try something else. Hope to have a sample soon.

Cap'n, the weathering is just sponged on using a mix of brown, blue and a dash of black.

JoshInJapan, I bought all the Mandos released for Legion that I know of beyond Rook Kast, who I believe is still locked up in a box of stuff I don't need or want. Not a canon color scheme (at least as far as I know) just trying for visually interesting.

Still working on Cammy. Pretty slow going now that I have switched back to brushwork from sprays, and life hasn't been conducive to working on minis.



Also picking away at the Night's Watch.



These four are very nearly done. As with the rest, painted for overall effect on the unit base rather than for individual oomph.

I got off the blu-tack/paint bottle wagon pretty late, and the chonks were on their way out. Otherwise, that's all I would have. The skinnies aren't bad, but for my big sandwich grabbers, I prefer the heftier handle.

Another rank down. One more to go. Then another unit. Then the war machines. And that's it. Practically done, right?

Pretty happy with how she turned out, overall. As always, there's plenty of room for improvement, but I feel the effort shows. And, given the issues printing and painting her, real glad she's finished.

Seriously Cammie turned out great! Kind of a cheesecake pinup thing going on, but that's okay, it's well executed. There's a Facebook group called "We Love Female Miniatures" where that model would fit right in.

WOW I did not realize she's so gigantic! Makes the layering all the more impressive, another level of abstraction going on there. Really solid skin, which is good considering how much of it there is

The only thing I don' like is the shape of the eyes. Great work nonetheless.

Yeah, the skin was something. Quite an exercise in layering/blending/glazing. A quick note, the sheen you are seeing is painted on for the most part. She has a pretty matte finish. I was going for sweat/suntan oil. Or something like that.

Onward. Nice Ride is the topic for May, and I'm bringing the Green Knight. A classic mini.
