Under the vehicle rules it indicates that any vehicle that came in via deep strike count as moving at cruising speed.
Now, I would like to see if this would be applicable to Dreadnoughts coming in via Drop Pods and Chaos Daemon Soul Grinders.
Since they are vehicles they would seem to follow this rule and therefore cannot fire on the turn they come in. But Walkers cannot move faster than combat speed so how would this work out rules wise?

So the issue would be:

Whether a space marine dreadnought coming in via a deep striking Drop Pod or a Chaos Daemons Soul Grinder coming in via deep strike utilizing the deep striking vehicle rules, which proffer that deep striking vehicles travel at cruising speed on the turn they deep strike, would be able to fire on the turn they come in?

Maybe a dreadnought is vehicle type walker and utilizes BRB page 72 "shooting with walkers" ?
So it would count as stationary for shooting purposes. :S

Chalk this one down to 'Walkers Shoot Differently'.

I'd have to say that under the principle, "Specific Overrides the General", Walkers clearly have their own rules that state "Walkers can move and fire all their weapons, just like a stationary vehicle."

Something I've not noticed before...are there any Walkers with more than two shooting weapons?

The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is the Ironclad Dreadnought, which can get up to 4, one arm has a melta or flamer, the other has a storm bolter or flamer or Hurricane Bolter, and then up to two hunter killer missiles.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

War Walkers only have two weapons. Centurian99 asked if there are any walkers with more than two weapons.

Defilers can, though I don't know why you would.

can you arm a dreadnaught with a hunter killer missile? If so then it could be equipped with three guns.

only an ironclad dread can take HKMs (2 in fact). Other dreads do not have that option (to include DA/SW/BA/BT).

And they can still shoot ALL of their weapons on the move.

Well, that's not quite true. A Grey knights dreadnought may also take an HK missile.

Just realized that the V4 rule of only two weapons firing is gone. So I was trying to think of any units that could take advantage of it. Defilers don't count, because the ordnance rules will trump the weapon firing rules.
