I believe they're all sculpted.

Whether or not they've been printed and cast though, I'm not sure? I forgot what the printing schedule was, and where they fell.

They've announced they're killing the KSer stores. Everything is getting removed in a few days. I'm tempted but I really don't need to spend money on things I might not get for another 3 years.

I hope this also means that all the stuff I already bought via those Kickstarters (and it is a LOT of stuff!) will now soon be on its way to me?

...right?

Mierce Miniatures:
"We are removing Kickstarter items as they are too cheap"
Next day announces 50% off sale.

I am now very worried that I'll never see my minis.
Three years...? No, actually, three MORE years is a more accurate way to phrase it.

Mierce is in trouble and I just hope they can sell enough to print, sculpt, and ship most of their outstanding orders.

Agreed.

I'm at about 50/50 feeling in terms of whether or not I'll actually get everything I already paid for...years ago.

I'm still waiting on metal lizards

I'm tempted to ask Rob if I can use some of my remaining cashback and pay the difference to just get the resin ones at this point.

I still want me some of those thicc ogres!

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

The vast majority of my stuff I'm waiting on are metal Reavers. (like 90%). I should get them as most are sculpted and Rob does have the metal casting stuff. I believe he said they were looking for a mold maker months ago. Hopefully that all works out.

Outside of the Reavers I tended to wait until they were finished and about to be removed from the KS store to buy incase it ever got this way. Think the reason I bought those early was some special where you had to spend x amount during a KSer.

The 50% off sale is just on Heroes, not the entire store, and apparently infantry units won't ever get such a nice markdown again (not sure why, but I guess we'll see?). Mierce does run a decent amount of sales, but they pale in comparison to Raging Heroes (I swear I get a new email from them every few hours about a sale...), Warlord, mantic, Avatars of War, and even GW (though they never have sales )

The wait on the KS backlog has been quite long, and Mierce isn't trying to tell us otherwise. They still send out project updates (just look a few posts back), and they still are making new stuff for the store to keep the company running, so I don't think they're any worse off than when folks were screaming doom & Gloom several years back. Yes they need to speed up production, but I don't think there's more than just Rob & Tim there doing stuff. Tim does they prints, and Moulding. Rob does everything else. To their credit they haven't run a new KS since Templar's forge (which I've received all my Miercendise from awhile back), and Rob says he won't do another till all the others are finished, and everything for the new KS is sculpted. They have to do these newer 'direct to store' sculpts to help keep new money coming in, and that slows down the production of the older stuff too. Is that ideal? Nope. Is that how things are going to progress? I guess so.

I asked Rob this same question awhile ago, and he seemed fine with it. I decided not to go that route, as most of the metal stuff I have waiting has fiddly thin weapons, that I know would break constantly in resin. But I would ask him if that doesn't bother you.

My understanding of where their metal production was, is that they have all the equipment, but haven't found anyone to operate it. I'm guessing there probably arent many 'freelance' metal casters? Who knows, in any case, I just got some metal figures from them not too long ago, so I guess they still use the old caster (who I thought did a great job)?

Yes, I got a huge box of resin and metal a couple of weeks ago, but I also have several hundred Mierce miniatures unbuilt and still in bags.

Of course, having the attention span of a gnat on caffeine does not help.

I will be content when they finish up this lot, and I will support them when I can in the intervening time. Unfortunately those beautiful Infernii were offered at the wrong paycheck for me, so I will have to wait to pick them up.

The LE minis that have been hidden within the KS, and elsewhere on the site have now got their home here, and are available for sale (or in a few cases preorder)

so if you put off getting any because you wanted to wait until thing were in stock etc worth having a look

I can heartily recommend

Darklands Concept Art Book

Pre-order the amazing limited edition concept art book now, before it sells out!

Some years ago we announced that we'd produce a Darklands ConceptArt Book for you Miercenaries, as we have so much art we almost don't know what to do with it: and, of course, because we want to showcase some of the most amazing artwork in the industry. Well, it's going to be yours in December - as long as you pre-order it now, because it's strictly limited to 250 copies only, and almost a hundred were purchased by our kickstarter backers of old!

The Darklands Concept Art Book

The concept art for our miniatures has been drawn by some of the most amazing artists to be found - Stefan Kopinski, Danny Cruz, Christophe Madura and Des Hanley, to name but a few - and often includes a huge amount of material that has never been shown publicly, such as pose roughs, anatomy sketches and rear views amongst muchelse.

Together with background material on the artists themselves, insights into how we brief them and where our inspiration comes from, as well as information about the art itself, this book is a treasure trove of incredible artwork and illuminating knowledge thatevery fan of art should own.

Produced in landscape format, the better to show off as much of our artwork as we can, the strictly limited edition Darklands Concept Art Book (with cover by Stefan Kopinski) will contain over a hundred commissions and whilst we're not quite sure of the page count yet, nor the binding, it won't be small - and, depending on the amount of pre-orders received, we can increase the quality of the book as a whole.Pre-order one before they sell out!

so excited to see this coming close to happening at last

I'm sure it is nice but, well, I want all my miniatures that I've already purchased first, *then* I'll start spending more money with Mierce.

Almost feels like they are trying to sell anything they can to stay afloat....

Next up is Mierce signed office supplies. Gently used printer cartridges with a little bit of toner left inside it which may or may not have been used to photocopy last due invoices.

That reminds me, I need to order some more Mierce tea/coffee mugs. They are huge and hold a lot of coffee.

And probably whiskey.

To be fair

The book is the item that's been longest for production, and means another KS can be closed as fully delivered

I am one of those 100-ish that ordered it years ago so I'm quite happy. Need to shoot Rob and email to make sure I've got the shipping paid to cover it.

I think a lot of people are interested in concept art books, and background books, etc. The hobby is so much more than just tiny miniatures. So I wouldnt say that Mierce is trying to unload "anything they can to make money" because there for sure is a demand for these things.

Of course there's nothing wrong with it!

There might be, however, something *slightly* wrong with how long it is taking them to work through their existing backlog of miniatures that they still owe to a lot of people.

I thought that they were taking a break from Kickstarters so that they could catch up, but I haven't seen this be the case, at least not for me.

And I want my Mallax already too, dammit!

They haven't run one this whole year. The artbook isn't a kickstarter.

They are going to do, apparently, a giant dragon. 150 quid during preorder probably 250 after but not a kickstarter.

Yes, I realize this.

And I am glad that this book is now done, as apparently some 100 people bought it a long, long time ago...and have been waiting ever since.

My point was, I guess, that during this self-imposed Kickstarter moratorium, I was hoping a LOT more of the miniatures in the backlog would get sculpted and shipped out!

Just ask yxalitis - he's got a good breakdown of just how long some of these things have been in the queue now...

A lot have been sculpted that still haven't seen release too.

Plus metal versions of some already released models...

But yeah, it would be nice to see even more of the backlog cleared out.

I'd imagine without KS to top up the budgets you have to keep the wage bill down, so everything is slower, but that's me guessing

A good guess - but I'd love a timeline of sorts, even a tentative 'don't hold me to it' one.

The hold up really seams to be more making molds and casting then anything else. Wonder if Tim isn't even full time anymore, same with Rob? As there are lots of sculpts, both physical and digital, done.

A few weeks ago, they showed over 30 miniatures that were done, or in various stages of sculpting (both real world & digital), in the last month, they've shown a brand new unit, a hero, and a GIANT model which they're working on for their 'keep the lights on' minis. That's pretty good, and definitely shows that things are moving.

That said, I get the frustration. Some folks just want the KS minis they bought years ago (BTW the art book!! FINALLY!!! ), some want stuff to show up in the store so they can finally buy it, others need the metal versions of stuff already in the store.

For me, I kind of get irked when we get a resculpt of a unit, or hero that we already had (typically because they got a new alt that needed sculpting, or a mounted version). Even though it's quick(ish) for Bob, or one of the other artists to do the original version(s), it's still taking extra time, and adding to the already long sculpting & printing que. I feel like, if these revamps need to be done, they should be done (just as quickly) after everything from all the Kickstarters have been finished. Then, they could even be made into their own KS! Lots of folks like updated minis!! I guess I just don't like seeing an update of a figure I already have owned for awhile, before the new stuff gets finished.

I do really like the special/new figures they've been putting out every month. I don't get all of them, but they're really cool. I hope they continue to make these, along side finishing the KS stuff.

Well golly gee, ANOTHER sale!
These are running back to back now, and the discount is increasing, the last couple have been 50%

Troubling times indeed, I'm sorely tempted to redeem my pre orders as cach back, and grab what's available now.

No sign of any of mine being printed, let alone moulded.

More than 3 years after the Kickstarter that funded him closed, Uuroch has still not even been SCULPTED!!
