The Store-built Stompa takes on all comers in a battle to the death! Do you have the resources in your army book (no super-heavies) to take down this greenskin behemoth? You'll earn a kill marker sticker to proudly display on your figure case if you do, to commemorate this remarkable feat! Bring 500 points of your worst to the slaughter!

Supposing you want the kill sticker, what would you bring for 500 pts?

I know what I'd do...

500 pts of regular units vs. 600 pts of super-heavy? I think they should give out more than a sticker for that kind of feat.

But I'd give it a shot with 6 deep-striking Obliterators.

Meh, you guys are no fun.

I'd want to try a legal Guard force:

JO w/ PP & 4 Plasma
SWS w/ Demo Charge
3x 5 Vets w/ 3 Melta
2x 5 Grenadiers w/ 2 Plasma

Drop Troops, of course, trying for lucky BBs with the Meltas, and Plasma up the Rear...

I would think that it's not just one-off games. It's multiple players with 500 points each. They only have 1 stompa per store, so it would take some time to play a few people, right?

No, I think it's 500 pts against the Stompa.

Can't see a game lasting more than 2 turns. Either you cripple/destroy it on your first turn or it'll wipe you out. 10 minutes per person should be more than enough unless you're doing something stupid like hiding behind a hill forever.

Do we have to follow force org?

If not, 10 individual multimelta attack bikes.

If so, Lysander, a min squads of scouts with ML, and 10 marines in a pod with Melta/Combimelta/Multimelta.

Wait, I think that might be 5 points over. Swap combi-melta for meltabomb?

10 Raiders or as many Wyches with Haywire grenades as it is possible to fit into 500 points.

Five cheap Carnifexes would be fun.

It just says "500 pts of your worst", so I don't think FOC is a requirement.

My example uses the FOC for theme purposes only.

Not an issue in 5e. Per the Codex, Carnifexes are Fearless. Per the 5e Errata/FAQ, Fearless units do not revert to Instictive Behavior outside of Synapse.

Bring whatever I have handy and have fun getting blowed up. Where is this event taking place? Do you have to kill it with your units, or bring a hammer and just smash it to bits after your force is blown off the table? Sounds like a fun event!

No FOC? 2 thoughts come to mind, choice would be made by Stompa weapon ranges and table size.

1. 3 x (5 Hardened Vets, 2 meltaguns), 4 x (5 Hardened Vets, 3 meltaguns); DS or Infiltrate. Superheavies may be able to target multiple units, but can he target AND hit 7 different units in one turn?

2. 4 x (3 lascannon flavored Anti-Tank Squads with Sharpshooters)

You can fit 6 with Targeting Arrays(for BS4), 2 with Plasma.

So, 5 units of 10 Dark Eldar, each with 2 Dark Lances?

That'd be 10 shots on the first turn, for 6+ hits, giving a glance and 2 pens - if you're lucky, that's 1 SP per turn...

You can fit 4 all Lance Ravagers into 500 if you really want those 2 extra shots.

I'd probably play some Russian Roulette with my list, and go with two Exorcists, each outfitted with an HK Missile, and then a Suicide Inquisitor, Mounted in an Immolator w/ Twin Linked Combi-Melta with four Acolytes, each outfitted with a Mancatcher and Power Weapon (to tie up the Stompa for a turn or two).

I think that could actually stand a chance, if the BS2 could give me enough of a blessing to actually allow the Immolator to reach the Stompa. Though I really would like to know all of the weapons that the Stompa has access to.

Either that, or I could just go with three HK Exorcists, with fifty random points to spend on...um...Storm Troopers? Though I do like to take my chances.
