Did anyone catch the first Games Workshop commercial here in the U.S.A.?
I set my DVR for the time and channel as given to me by my GW store manager but it wasn't on.
Anyone happen to see it Monday?
And if anyone is interested the spot should also run at the following times:
Tue 2/24 5:25p
Wed 2/25 5:58p
Fri 2/27 4:16p
Sat 2/28 4:42p, 5:28p, 6:50p
Sun 3/1 6:59p
I'm assuming these times are Pacific but the information given to me doesn't say.
Edit: Sorry I forgot the channel Q13 FOX

That's quite interesting. I'd love to watch it, but for the life of me I have no idea what channel it's supposed to be on.
Little help?

What are they advertising?
And first ever commercial?
In the UK, we had commercials for Heroquest and Space Crusade during the 80s.

It's a wind up. Advertising is expensive. GW would be unlikely to recoup the cost from any increase in sales, hence why they haven't advertised thus far....

I kind of doubt it. The store manager at my local GW store was extremely excited over this, and he made sure that everyone who came in left with a list of the air times.

Both were published by Milton Bradley, though. GW just made the models.

Commercials were good (well, good if you were 12) though. They did a genestealer for Space Crusade. The Heroquest one had the obligatory dwarf in a goblin mask.

They have to start somewhere. Info just doesn't magically pop up two weeks ago.
I doubt that there is commercials as well, but GW is a surprising company lately, in both good and bad ways.

I watch FOX all the time. I'll give it a gander, but none of my GW staff mentioned this.. and if you set your DVR, what time Monday was it supposed to run?
Now, I have seem some Dawn of War 2 commercials, I wonder if this is just more of that?

I would definately like to see this myself. If it's true, why wouldn't they have advertised on TV in Britian first, since they're HQ'd there? Maybe a bigger player base in the States?

Advertising on cable channels which are local and targeted is comparatively cheap as compared to running something on broadcast television during, say, Lost.
There is indeed a commercial being tried in this manner in select US markets. It's less about specific product and more along the lines of, "come by one of these stores and see what all this is about."

Yeah, I know. I lived in corpus for about 8 years.
But Frazzled is so pro texas ("Ayum an ameruhcun goddammit!"), I figured being intentionally obtuse would drag him out of the wood work right meow for some of his favorite good ol', down home shenanigans.
