I really dislike the close combat weapons and top mounted missiles. The fists are way too huge, and the missiles look tacked on.

Horrendous model IMO-- it looks significantly worse than a normal or even Black Reach Dreadnought, and it'll probably be overpriced as well. On the plus side, this means that I won't be spending extra money on buying these for my army...

Undecided. Like the fist and the angular slab armor, dislike the 'hammer' and the hunter-killers. Wondering if I'd like it better sans banner, for the stocky-smashy look.
Thanks for the pics!

@ Salvage; my pleasure
I think it's bloody awesome, mahoosive armour plates and two gurt big wacky arms. The thingthat lets the mobel down though is those hunter killers they look as if they were tacked on as an afterthought

I think it looks pretty good. I won't be using the hunter killers of course, they are a waste of points on a model like that and they look pretty awful tacked on like that.
For being so much more heavilly armored it looks much less stocky then the regular or venerable dreads, something which I like. The regular dread looks almost silly in how stubby its legs are, this thing looks like it could actually traverse some terrain.

Great looking model. I can envision one painted up to look battleworn and ready to dish it out.

It doesn't even look like the smoke launchers could fire past the HK launchers. The underslung meltagun also looks very awkward and ruins the lines of the left arm.

The missile launcher things on the shoulder pad look really stupid. It doesn't really seem that much more armored than a regular dreadnought.

the CAD images i;'ve seen indicate a chainfist option, but it might not have made the final cut.
the moedl looks too squat and the seismec hammer is how a seismic 40k hammer would proabaly work, many 'hammers' pummeling the targe, although these ones look more like the thing from eurotrip, no good on slaanesh takns

Maybe the model will come with options like the current dred does. Hope so, the CAD showed a chainfist arm and an arm with several bolters on it. It also showed an underslung flamer and the pics above show a melta so hopefully there is more to this.
The banner is just silly, it's a dred designed to smash through walls etc, how long would a banner pole last?
Would've been nice to have had a different base too.

The stormbolter on the right arm looks like it would fire straight into the fist in front of it as well. It's a pity they don't have an engineer or similar to advise on some of the crap designs they come up with. It's not difficult to fix but why can't they produce a model that doesn't require fixing?

Actually, I think it just looks that way.
If you check pic one, it would seem like it should be firing right through those two ... claws.
However, you are right, the position is kind of dumb ... especially if you can actually twist/turn the full ring of 4 claws into the way of the bolter.

The hammer looks kinda dumb but overall I like it. I will probably switch it out for something else. I also hope that this model comes with all of the missing options from the regular Dread.

I think it looks a bit on the small side for a "siege dread" still looks neat. Heres wanting them to give you the arm for a hurricane bolter.
