I've painted the Psykers,



I'm still unsure about the banding around the robes I mentioned in a previous post. I guess I'll summon up the courage soon enough. Pater Sin is still being worked on, perhaps next week I'll have another shot of him.

@Brother Stynier - I think I'll be hanging on to it. I've wanted a Blood Pact army for such a long time (since Guns of Tanith really) so I can't imagine selling them off. Unless of course I get the right offer ; )

Wow! First I didn't think much of the psykers, but like that...scary bloodthirsty babies!

They sure as heck creep me out! Makes me want to reach for a shotgun.

I can see how those would lower enemy leadership... mainly by freaking them out. Great sculpts and great paint!

Have you considered doing a diorama of a particular scene from GG yet?

I can always rely on you Dave to keep me inspired in this hobby.

The simple bases set off the models nicely. I can see you are really capturing the feel that Dan puts into his writing.

Can't wait to see what you've done with Pater.

Brilliant idea for the psyker squad, and great execution.

Those little critters look brilliant mate, really nailed the line between creepy little ghouls and chaotic psyker babies!

I think you should go for a simple line banding around the hem and sleeves of the robes, it certainly needs something to break up the large areas and add some more detail to the robes.

However I have bone to pick, IIRC the Infardi were described as wearing "vivid green silk" in Honour Guard... The tykes look a little drab IMO.

No real update today, except to announce the Apocalypse Datasheet Competition I'm running on my blog. It's all about creating a Datasheet for the Stalk Tank. Head on over and take a read.

@ Sirath - I was originally thinking about starting with Dark Angels green and highlighting up with Snot Green and Sunburst Yellow to get something more "vibrant" as you correctly quote, but I decided on Orkhide shade and Gretchin Green as a bit of a change, kind of pushing my own personal boundaries. Not too successful on a vibrancy front but I still like the little buggers. ; )

I've been keeping up with your blog and seeing your oh so juicy minis pushed me over the edge a few weeks back and inspired me to redo my whole Traitor Guard army (all 7000pts worth o.o ).

So to you, I thank you for making me oh so jealous and for setting a high standard for us Traitor Guard players. Also, congrats on the GD Baltimore awards!

This is great work , got me inspired to get back into my guard took about a month break from painting anything ( proud dad here too gets hard to get in the painting sometimes ) .

Chicago GDs are just under five weeks away. I'll try to get some shots on the weekend. As a tease, here's the list of projects I have on the boil:

40K Single - Ad Mech Skittarii (also a commission piece)
40K Squad - Pater Sin and his Psyker Brood
40K Vehicle - Blood Pact SteG4 Armoured Car
Warhammer Single - Mounted Chaos Sorcerer
Warhammer Large - Chaos Lord on Daemonic Steed
Large Scale Model - Churabael, Daemonhost
Diorama - Wounded Cadian troopers being evacuated in a half-track
Open - My Genswick Gorgon converted from a Baneblade.

So a bit of work there (only the Gorgon is complete).

One thing tho. Im guessing you meant Cherubael correct? The deamonhost featured in the Eisenhorn series?

If so, great choice. I love that character and I look forward to you interpretation.
