Look I've been peeing in the corner of the local GW for over six months now and they are still stocking space marine stuff...

Funny enough my brother managed that years ago. I´ll always wonder how he convinced her to let him drive. He was lucky that the phone relay he smashed was due to be removed

On the new race discussion I´ll go with Emo twylight looking marines, there is a big market gap there that GW needs to cover ASAP

They've already got that in CSM, though.

Oh feth, what if they do that with DE? Not that it'd be much of a stretch...god, can you imagine Edward Cullen leading a kabal, god. Way to kill my enthusiasm.

Not even just CSM though.

Blood Angels used to be defined as that general "Woe is me, I'm doomed to look this good!" category.

Heck. Dark Angels are pretty emo when you think about it too...

Hopefully it will be the Dark Angels codex Update... where they will add all that FAQ nonsense about your opponent having fun vs you having fun, into our codex.

Yeah Old Ones would be awesome . . . 1500pt battle . . . one Old one . . . and you would still win =p

And yes working for GW has it's benefits, but not as many as it used to. The studio and HQ have really been clamping down on who knows what.

I really don't get why this thread is still running. There is no new race being announced. Yes, there is a big secret to be revealed, but GW says it's something they haven't done before. So no update to an existing codex.

My 2 cents is Id love to see the Space Skaven, or Sprats as was mentioned earlier.

And for the slann/lizards are we not forgetting how cool Trandosians in star wars look? Lizards with big guns.

But i have to say, its going to either be a) nothing, b) Space marine chapter, or c) if were lucky AdMech.

I think it's all a setup anyway.

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1

I just got an email from my purple-shirt source at the GW HQ in Dubrovnik. The new army is going to be Space Uruk-Hai for 40k, they're supposed to be like meaner and stronger orks that aren't green. They're pretty excited about it too because it's their first 40K / Lord of the Rings crossover army, kind of like star wars transformers where they took 2 things that just don't match and somehow made it awesome.

I think a codex: Xenos would be nice. Bendies, demiurg, more kroot options etc. with the ability to be inducted by Tau or played as an individual force. There is a lot of room in the fluff for this idea and It would have the added bonus of making the anime fan tau players quit whining.

"All of the whining pisses me off... Somewhere some whiny girlyman reinterpreted sportsmanship to reflect the build and not the player. The build has nothing to do with sportsmanship and getting docked as such is ludicrous." -Inigo Montoya
That being said, I'll still give you a 0 if you bring more than 5 eldar skimmers. Don't be that guy.

BoLS posted their round up of the rumours on this mystery release on 5 July. Nothing about a new race.

-Product announcement on 15-16th August, with a ship date in September.

-August/september they are selling a box set for around £50. (@$70 USD)

-It is a completely stand alone set that is not related to any race.

-It is something that GW has never done before.

-Some local stores are only getting one shipment; when that sells out it will no longer be available.

-You can't advance order it. You have to be there on the day to get it.

-It is not Planetary Empires.

-It is a board game.

-Very limited GW people know what it is. Blueshirts have indicated what they know and the Blackshirts avoid questions.

-Likely to be 40K related, but not definitely confirmed.

The Imperius Dominatus (big space map) speaks of a race named the hyper-violent Barghesi. Some one already suggested them but I think they could be supported since they also come from the eastern fringe like the Tau (asian market).
