I would love a plastic Thunderhawk . . . there has just been one of the metal ones on eBay for £175 . . . without the box and certificate etc . . . was kinda like what's the point? lol . . . but yeah a plastic one would rule, but won't be in the mystery box.
My money is on Space Hulk, or some new awesome boardgame . . . but I can see a boardgame being the way to go with it. Especially at £50 . . . the same as a starter box.
EDIT: Saying that, just as i clicked post a thought struck me . . . WOTR starter box anyone? They wouldn't sell very many though lol

The box actually contains the "Everything you've been told is a lie" shirts. It'll be the greatest circular rumour to ever exist.
Dakka. You need more of it. No exceptions.
You ask me for an evil hamburger. I hand you a raccoon.-Captain Gordino
What are you talking about? They're Space Marines, which are heroic. They need to be able to do all the heroic stuff. They fight aliens and don't afraid of anything. -Orkeosarus
Inside the box will be.....another box, and in that box will be.....another box, but inside that box will be.....wait for it.......wait for it.......a golden ticket that entitles the bearer for a free tour of GW. ---Oopa-loompa's dance in the background.
Buy Imperial War Bonds!!! I play: 30,000+ points and growing

: Necromunda

They absolutely would not limit themselves in selling that thing, as the cost to get it up and running would be rather high.
Which, in turn, is why I think well see a plastic Warhound before we see a plastic Thunderhawk.
Necros wrote:what makes a plastic warhound so much easier to do than a plastic thunderhawk? I think they'd equally be a tough kit to make, especially because they might want to make a warhound a bit posable and that will require more pieces for joints, etc.
Although I do have a feeling one of the big reasons FW started selling weapons separately is so that they can be ordered for the plastic one some day
I don't recall saying it would be harder to make a Thunderhawk, what I was saying is that, with all the time and investment that goes into developing it and the molds, I think they'd sell a hell of a lot more plastic Titans than Marine Super Heavy Flyers.
Not to mention, on top of that, this thing is supposed to be a 'limited edition' 'when it is gone it is gone' thing.
Does that really sound like "Plastic Thunderhawk" to you?
Now me?
I love them Space Marines.
But I wouldn't be buying a plastic Thunderhawk.
A Plastic Warhound?
I'd buy at least two of them...

its going to be a box with a small bag of soil from gwhq, and will have a little note with it about how its infused with the gw mojo and merely rubbing a big on you will infuse you with their power.........
yea, i'm running on ideas of what it could be.......i know, a box of English air

Same, but only because Warhounds only properly work in pairs.
And I'd rather carry my DA 4th Company in T-Hawks than Pods.

All the even bigger plastics, like the game board set just show how big GW could really make components if they really wanted to. If nothing else proves the capability that does. Thunderhawk or Warhound, it'd likely be more $ than the Stompa.

Subject: Re:GW's Mystery Box? WTF is it already?!?
Space Hulk with 2 'limited edition' metal figures. Metal figures are the only things GW have done as limited edition. After the initial run you will still be able to get Space Hulk but without the metal figures...

I think you're probably right and this is what the "Mystery Box" will end up being...
Kinda of lame, but still, an 'official' unveiling of Space Hulk will still be cool enough.
On one hand - OMG! Space Hulk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 ZOMG!!!!!!!2
On the other hand - It probably won't be compatable with the previous two editions (ie. the tiles won't fit), meaning it won't work with what I want the game for.
On the other other hand - It'd be written by the current GWDev team... and that just fills me with dread.

Latest talk says:
"GW already offering preorder to the retail shops at at approx 50 GBP - It's Space Hulk with terrain , Terminators Genestealers and 2 metal miniatures. For now there are no plans to sell space hulk in more than 1 print - this is limited edition"
~It may only be available at Brick and Mortar stores and the GW Web Store, and supplies may be very limited. I don't know about you but this may be the "Tickle-me-ELMO" moment for Games workshop with hordes of old-timers pulling out the stops to lay their hands on the limited copies of this. I'm already working on my nefarious plans to secure one....How about you?
Should I post this as a new thread? That way Taco Bell can copypasta me in a week's time and post it as news?
I really hope that they've made enough for the demand if this is real.
