You have successfully put my Cadians to shame. At face value it isn't saying much since the bar is low but that is outstanding work.

Thanks for the compliments! the one ogryn does have a double handed grip on the gun, the one who is carrying the gun in front of him across his chest. I will try to get a better picture of the hands so you can see it better. He is supporting the gun from the bottom with his left hand. I was able to get a little bit of greenstuff on the ogryn last night, but not much progress to show. Hopefully I can finish up the greenstuff on them tonight so I can get them sprayed and start painting!

Check it. Ogryn finished! Here is the third one, and possibly my favorite. I think I will count the one with the gun slung over his shoulder as the bonehead though, I like the idea of the leader having a shield.

Fourth Ogryn. I think this guys skin color is a good change from the others, I wanted to mix them up a bit, but the other three came out pretty similar. I mixed in bronze flesh instead of elf flesh. They are all based on dwarf flesh.

Thanks! I wanted to mix them up a bit, but still make keep them similar, because the skin is such a large part of the model. OK, I finished up another sentinal, and I am in the middle of painting the hellhound. After that I just have one more tank to get to 2000 points! Hopefully I will be able to knock them out in the next week, so I can move on to the rough riders. I am looking forward to converting and painting those guys, I think they will look really good with the army. Here are some pics of the sentinal, and I should have some more soon!

OK, I finished the hellhound, but momadukes borrowed the camera, so I will get pictures up of it as soon as I get that back. Just one more tank to paint and I will have 2000 points! I am pumped.

Ladies and gentlemen, I have reached 2000 points. I got the camera back, so here is the hellhound and deathstrike missile launcher.

The rebreathers are actually from the cadian command squad, you get 5 on each sprue.

The mustachioed head is I believe from the cadian command squad, and the other two heads are from the catachan command squad. they may in fact all be from the catachan command squad, I cannot quite remember.

Thanks maety thats the second endorsement of the catachan command squad , i have had this morning , guess i will have to bite the bullet now

congrats on getting your army together matey.

Thanks for the compliments guys! The catachan command squad is great, because the arms and torsos are all well proportioned, unlike the catachan troops.

Metalhead that really means a lot, thank you very much. That is a huge compliment.

I have played a game with the full 2000 point painted force! It looked awesome, I was super excited. I will put up some pics and a quick breakdown. Spoiler, I win. Woo Hoo! I have also been doing some work on my Eldar, I joined the Hobby progress challenge the Independent Characters are hosting. If you want to check that out, here is the link

http://www.theindependentcharacters.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=1764

While I am working on that I will continue to work on my IG army. I have said this before, but I can't wait to get some rough riders done and on the table. I also want to get some more terrain painted, because I use the same painted stuff in all of my games.

I started out by flaming his scout squad pretty good, and taking out some of his long fangs pack.
He dropped down right in the middle of my army with some terminators and a commander in terminator armour.

I responded with Straken and the command squad and eventually took out his commander and terminators with the help of the Ogryn.

After that it was a lot of dancing around, he was trying to protect his troops so he could claim some objectives. Highlight was killing Bjorn with the deathstrike.

I ended up winning 2 objectives to 0, after taking out his troops. I also popped his second dread with my veterans with plasma guns. I love that squad. Overall I am super happy with the whole army, it was awesome seeing to totally painted forces on a painted board. Really Sweet.

Well I have some progress, but not imperial guard progress. I will ally this guy in during fun games though, and I just love the model. My brother and I tried playing a 2000 game where you could use 500 points of a different army, and it was fun to switch it up a little. I need to paint up my own thunder hammer squad to go with him, I have been using my brothers.
