Some questions remain; how are you going to solve the problem with supporting the weight of the Dreadnought's upper body? Are the legs the only supporting structures of the whole dreadnought, or are you going to install a harness so you can bear some of the weight on your shoulders?
What about the powerplant? do you have plans on outfitting it with a smoke dispenser and have a speaker to play off the sound of a revving engine?
last; are you going to install a voice distortion device? just for the extra "I'm a walking tank with a bad mood, you don't want to see me angry!!"

The power plant is a series of 12v batteries that will be switched out in the suit and the smoke unit will be a small smoke machine though for walking outside there will be a small camping generator powering it the voice changer will be a modified darth vader voice changer

Ok something I just thought about if you are putting fiberglass plating on it won't that cover over your detail as you will have to do the detail cut outs anyways?
|
Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House! |

I would assume he has a machine to add fibreglass in layers. That would explain why he thinks it will be quite light and the detail added before, he can add just a thin layer which will strengthen it and not add too much weight.
Maybe?

Do you have a weight estimate or goal? Aren't the batteries alone like 40 pounds?

He might win the record for making the first cosplay costume that functions as a real armor.

Really? below 74f? In alaska they must not be able to ever fiberglass then. We rarely see it get above 70 even in the middle of the summer.
