I'm with Dreadnought on this one! the guy has been doing really well to post things on the blog and even had the time to put up a video for you all to see it in action!! (which i feel is more than some deserve right now). Quite simply people have patience! We are all human and we cant control the weather!!

@DreadnoughtMC: you have an amazing project going and im impressed with the work done! Keep it up! Looking forward to when things clear up over on your end cause im sure it must be really annoying for you to not be able to carry on with it yourself!

really I made a point, am I apologetic nope not in the least. No, but you did violate Rule #1.. Your comments were definitely impolite, which is especially frowned upon in the Painting and Modelling forums. You contributed nothing to the thread with these comments and simply antagonized the original poster.

Nobody is under any obligation to post updates at your demand. Badgering the poster despite his giving reasons for there being a delay in updates, complaining that the thread isn't really a Blog because it's not updated fast enough to suit some personal opinion on an appropriate rate of updates or because you think there aren't enough photos and just generally being rude are in no way conducive to 'having fun and sharing cool stuff we build'.


I for one am just blown away by the progress on this so far, and would hope that the project continues... at whatever speed DreadnoughtMC feels like. And I would hope that some people take some time to consider their behaviour and apologise for the carry-on.

I do have a more personal question, though.. Since this Dreadnought costume of yours is going to rather on the "broad load" size, how are you going to solve the.. ah.. "potty" problem? you know, when nature calls, do you simply open up some little hatch or something similar, unzip and "bring the rain"? Perhaps you could hold yourself long enough, but it is better to have a answer to the "What if.." scenario, right?

Just thought I'd point out that it is also "not cool" to assume everyone causing problems is a child. Sorry but I really dislike when people assume this.

The idea of some users thinking they are "entitled" to progress pictures (or anything for that matter) is baffling.

Above sentiments seconded, as much as well all want to see more pics of this incredible idea (who doesn't want a 12ft tall giant killy robot costume?) we can't demand pictures as we see fit, heck we get enough demands to get things done by deadlines IRL so don't let it bleed through into your hobby-time as well (the only place with no serious deadlines or agendas!).

I propose, however, if there is anything remotely 40k at this convention you go stand motionless by it and then move everytime someone hangs around you too long, or if someone goes to take a pic with the 'real-life dreadnought statue'.

May I suggest some sort of funnel+tube assembly (kind of like a urinal built into the suit), that can be drained at suitable times, could get a bit stinky though so pack plenty of magic trees lol.

heck maybe you could link the tube to the flamer to deter any douchebags from touching your costume lol!

Those are smoke launchers on the top of the dreadnought, not grenade launchers.

That would be cool. If you read this DreadnoughtMC, a smoke/fog machine attached to the smoke launchers would be awesome.
