things that make you go hrmmm. All I am saying is you are onto something cool, but a lot doesn't compute(I.e being able to move with 180-190 pounds on you.. it's not easy and no military gear weighs that much) and for the hype you haven't shown much in results. You could show pics of the arms and other stuff that you said you worked on. You have come somewhat far, but really don't post much of the wip just say you are doing this.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House! |

He's fun to tease, I'm starting to really like him...as for Alaska I'm assuming it's like you can do painting - in a shop, which is essentially a heated vented room designed for spraying. Note a shop of that sort is far more complex than a garage.

no military gear weighs that much
Military gear weighs little because people with military gear have to run around in it for hours, and sometimes days. He can walk, and hell, even stand there and rest if he wants to. He's not making this to go fight, he's making it to go to a convention.
Imagine a 12 ft statue of a dreadnaught, people taking photos and such around it... and then it moves.

This is a blog, it should be full of photos. Considering the popularity of the thread, DMC could just put up a photo of it sitting in the garage from different angles everyday-and at least it would be something. You don't announce the apple ipad then not show it!

Maybe it's the type of fiberglass he's using; maybe he doesn't feel like working in the garage while it's raining outside. Maybe moisture affects how the glue hardens. Maybe people shouldn't care so much and just let the OP finish HIS project at HIS pace.
Ghod, it's like people surf this board just looking for the opportunity to be disagreeable.

It's a P&M Blog that's had production delays and a bunch of people whining that he's not working fast enough for their tastes. Too bad! The man'll get the work done in his own time at his own pace, and no amount of complaining will change that, except that it seems to make it LESS likely that more pictures will be posted now. Congrats!

I swear, this is the first thread I actually hope gets locked. People just make up aligations. Nobody has been whining or providing unnecessary pressure.
It's a thread about a cosplay about an obscure tabletop miniature game on the internet. It's about having fun, cracking jokes, and sharing cool stuff we build. I can't tell whether DMC is serious or not about his threats, but that is the only whining I've heard. And if he's going to get all serious and not post, so be it. Blaming other people doesn't make any sense at all.
That being said, I now hope he does do the seismic hammer, maybe he can knock some sense into the GW-con attendees!
I want to see Stump do his ork dread! If someone did a landradier costume, we would be on our way to staging the actual largest game ever!

Shame on you especially jabbajahut , why would you hope this thread be locked.
MC i apologize in behalf of the immaturity or the over all lack of patience displayed by some ,
good thing are worth waiting for , so take your time and make it right ^^v

Indeed.
Which makes the behaviour of some posters in this thread completely inexcusable.
Nobody is under any obligation to post updates at your demand. Badgering the poster despite his giving reasons for there being a delay in updates, complaining that the thread isn't really a Blog because it's not updated fast enough to suit some personal opinion on an appropriate rate of updates or because you think there aren't enough photos and just generally being rude are in no way conducive to 'having fun and sharing cool stuff we build'.
I for one am just blown away by the progress on this so far, and would hope that the project continues... at whatever speed DreadnoughtMC feels like. And I would hope that some people take some time to consider their behaviour and apologise for the carry-on.

@DreadnoughtMC: I seriously hope you come back to this thread. For me, your project was the coolest thing on Dakka. You've surprised a lot of people with your capabilities, despite the surround pestering you've had to endure. I can only quote Winston Churchill:
"Lift up your heart. All will come right. Out of the depth of sorrow and of sacrifice will be born again the glory of mankind".
