as it is, he looks like he knows whats coming.

maybe turn his eyeballs to face forwards and less of a silly smirk on his face.

That was kind of the idea, he has his pistols out because maybe he heard something.

Need to tone down that cig though, it could possibly be on fire.

All these are really great. I do thin the terminator GK in the first pic is a bit too tall though. You make everyone here jealous....

LoneLictor on thread about an ork choking the Emperor:

I like to imagine the Emperor kills so many Orks that he ends up half buried beneath a pile of corpses, with only his head sticking out. A lone grot stumbles across him, and starts choking him.

Then Horus comes across the lone grot, somehow managing to kill the Emperor, and punts it into space.

Maybe I'll do a space marine piece in honor of it getting released next.

Maybe an Imperial Fist holding the line against unseen foes that are off frame.

I think something about the Seige of the Emperor's Palace would be cool. something grand in scale showing a large section of the walls being attacked by waves of enemies.

Self-proclaimed evil Cat-person. Dues Ex Felines

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

^Agreed. IF are awesome.

Another thing you can do (kinda clichéd, but still) IF stand atop a mound of conquered foes, holding a flag/banner

Nice job Daedalus.

Also, a piece to celebrate Space Marine (and its accursed broken demo) would be great!

I think something in the spirit of the game would be best.. I'm thinking a large picture showing a still of a multiplayer game.

For example, you have an Assault Marine and Raptor dueling it out over an objective point whilst other battles take place all around, further and further into the background. Of course everyone is a different chapter with a bunch of mixed up armour sets.

As a little joke, you could have gamertags above each marine, representing people you know on Dakka or perhaps on steam.

Ooh, I like this idea... I was working on Titus facing down a Nob; but maybe I will switch it up.

Do the finishing move where he rips the Nob's head in half with his bare hands

While I think that is super awesome, would rather keep a bit more high-brow than a huge blast of gore everywhere

Ok, how about just burying the power axe into the Nobs skull.

What, you've never seen Orks sitting around, playing poker whilst sipping tea in a very British manner? They are masters of etiquette I say, masters!

Yes, quite. Haven't you ever seen an ork wearing little white gloves, duelling for honour, and stifling gas?

I like them all. I, personally, don't think the cityscape really breaks me out of the 40k mood. Great work.

Zounds an update!

http://galefire.com/2011/09/slayde-templus-crimson-turnabout/

A baller Inquisitor from my Dark Heresy scenario, he is in charge of those silly acolytes... this is specifically a turnabout/character design, so no background. However, now that the design is set, it should be easy to put him into a cool situation.

http://galefire.com/2011/08/heretek-scalpel-constructs/

And some scary things we fought last time, but they ended up dying WAY too easily... they will be much tougher in the next go around! This image was a bit off the cuff and pretty quick, but I felt it came across pretty well to show what was going on

I was working on a bit scene with a bunch of Space Marines and Chaos Space Marines punching each other (with guns) but... it just wasn't coming together well. Maybe after this next commission, which is of a sassy female vindicare assassin perched in a tree with a Eldar Long Rifle AND an Exitus rifle...

I'd like to see your take on a duel between an Eldar and a Dark Eldar. Nothing fancy, but it seems your tallents would be perfect for the job.

I suppose I should take some insperation from you. You get complaints about height of marines. I get complaints about "grimdark".

Dude your art rocks.

If I had money, I'd probably commission some DKoK stuff off of you. Unfortunately, poor.

Maybe if they are both sexy ladies... Farseer vs Bloodbride(not even sure if this is a unit)? Could be some good practice.

Common enemies make strange bedfellows!

Speaking of which, only a Marine's accelerated coagulation would let him get anywhere near her without fainting from blood loss.

Well, I try not to post too much non-40k stuff, since this is the 40k forum and all.

But here is something I just finished,

Thanks

Just my own sci-fi/fantasy setting I use to showcase stuff. Has a bit of everything, heh.
