...and there it is. Pretty fun fight! I learned a lot and realized I need to use flash on my camera lol (looked like non-flash ones were coming out better but, as you can see that's not the case!)
As far as my build goes, I realize I need to mix up some rending claws in there with my CC Warriors among other things that I can't remember of the top of my head right now, lol.
Hope you guys enjoy and stay tuned for the next grudge match!

As the opposing player in his game, gotta say it was a great, exciting, and close match! I lucked out with one marine left holding the objective after hails and hails of devourer fire, what a rush

Yeh, terrain is just as important as the armies. You two should get down and make hills out of polystyne or something. It adds so much to the game.

Got any productive input? FLGS was closed sadly so a sheet and improvised terrain was the way we went, like I mentioned at the top.

To everyone else, thanks for the comments!

I've seen more insightful input in Big Red commercials too, but thanks for the condescending comment

Dudes, you have to chill. while I thought your batrep was very good. You have to realise when some one is giving helpful critique, HBMC has been around the block (twice) and his comments have a valid point.

That's great. But there's something to be said for having the maturity to not present yourself in a condescending way, escpecially when it is pretty obvious that it is a beginners game. Mocking people or sounding annoyed with them because they're less experienced, newer players is how you propose to grow the hobby?

yeah,
You right, I'm all for new blood.

I loved the batrep.

But you also have to know how to take advice from the interwebs!? it's not all coated in sugar.

And thus, the response was also not coated in sugar.

Anywho, thanks for reading and glad you enjoyed it. Would have been better had we had access to the FLGS, but when you get the itch on a rainy sunday afternoon, you scratch with what you got.

For the longest time I used the boxes my tanks and models came in as hills and buildings. Works wonders. Doesn't look any good, sure, but gives you a better game than an open field. And it's great when you're starting out. Hell, you could put a cloth over the boxes if you want them to look a little better.

In any case, you had terrain in your last game and I said the same thing - it was all squashed to the sides and the main part of the table was an empty expanse of nothingness. This isn't Fantasy, it's 40K, you need terrain. It is as important as any other facet of the game and needs to be included.
