So about 2 weeks ago I was doing some finishing touch-ups on my carnifex with 2 sets of scything talons. Wasnt really paying attention, kinda watching some tv when my cat swatted the fex of my desk and proceeded to land talon first on the top of my foot. I must have failed my armor save that night as it put a pretty substantial hole near my ankle. Better a small injury than the fex smashing on the hardwood floor I guess. I had to put my cat in the trash compactor for that one, luckily she still has 6 lives left.
So whats the worst injury you have substained during a modeling or gaming session?

I was trimming something and my attention failed me for a moment and all of a sudden I found my knife jammed into the flesh of my hand between thumb and forefinger. I now have a very short, straight scar there (I'm thinking knife wounds will feature large here)

Oh yes, I have sliced my fingers more time than I care to remember. Using modelling knives under the supervision of adults is all very well, but what if you are an adult?

Mine would also have to do with a falling carnifex, especially since it was the old metal kind that fell off my work table and attacked my left leg, impailing it's grinning self to me. Not a good time. I quite playing nids then!

My friend fell on a cities of death thing, with his hand. (with the pointy bits) It stayed in hand. (It was pretty gross having a building stick out of someguys hand)

New one for me, I was getting ready for a Fantasy tourney. Had all of my Saurus Warriors (w/ spears) in a tote and as I proceeded to reach my hand into the tote, I stabbed one of the PLASTIC spears into the tip of my thumb. Pulled my hand out w/ spear still in my thumb.
Bled for a while and got alot of flak for stabbing myself on my PLASTIC models.

It's been a while since I've noticeably injured myself, but it was probably a stab in the hand with an X-acto knife due to losing control while trimming parts. I did that with alarming frequency when I was starting off.
Does one of the Perry brothers losing his hand reenacting count as a "gaming" injury? That would clearly win the thread if it did.

I was putting together some Khorne Bezerkers and sliced my thumb a little bit while shaving some mold lines off. Then I thought to myself, "What's more manly than Zerkers?" That's right, Bezkerers with real blood on them.
Unsanitary? sure. Awesome? absolutely.

Cleaning up some Bloodletters, knife slipped and jabbed me. Pulled it out, but it didn't hurt much (just a sting) and didn't seem to have done any real damage. Carried on.
Few minutes later, my brother walks in and asks why I've started painting when they aren't fully assembled, or for that matter uncoated. It was only then that I realised I'd got a vein or artery or something and blood was everywhere (I tend to have tunnel vision whilst working)

And so, due to rising costs of maintaining the Golden Throne, the Emperor's finest accountants spoke to the Demigurg. A deal was forged in blood and extensive paperwork for a sub-prime mortgage with a 5/1 ARM on the Imperial Palace. And lo, in the following years the housing market did tumble and the rate skyrocketed leaving the Emperor's coffers bare. A dark time has begun for the Imperium, the tithes can not keep up with the balloon payments and the Imperial Palace and its contents, including the Golden Throne, have fallen into foreclosure. With an impending auction on the horizon mankind holds its breath as it waits to see who will gain possession of the corpse-god and thus, the fate of humanity...... |

HA! That made me laugh! Me and the wife see him regular, with and without arm, he is more then comfortable with it!
Must be pointed out he was re-enacting in france, we are MUCH safer over here :-)
Had any number of Knife Based Accidents, its become known as "Modellers Thumb" when you get all those little fine cuts when trimming lead figures.....
I once burned myself pretty bad when I picked up the wrong piece when I was casting stuff... note to self, white metal at about 200C burns like a B'Stard!
Knew a guy who lent on some 6mm pike men, only problem was the pikes were long sewing needles..... very nasty.
Not gaming related but I cut my hand up pretty bad when I messed up a sword disarm in a display, ended up in casualty still in armour with two mates, the nurse was busy tying away and asked me about the injury, I explained I cut myself on a sword, to which she looked up shocked into 3 guys in full medieval armour... her face was a picture! :-) Mine must have been a picture later however when the nurse stitching me up asked to cut the chainmail off... not at £400 a set your not!

The way i cut plastic is weird.
My left finger acts as a guide line for where the xacto goes
and my left thumb pushes the blade while my right hand holds the blade handle.
Sometimes the piece slips and i cut my finger instead D:
