So I've been lurking around for a few months now trying to control the urge to join up, but I guess it couldn't be helped. I just don't have willpower I guess, and now my time on the computer is going to take up my life. That is, except for when I'm modelling or playing...(for some reason I cannot bring myself to paint anything, it's just too darn boring, I think I have ADD when it comes to that)
But anyway, I'm glad I can finally comment on stuff because this is just about the only forum I read now and I have to admit it's amazing.
I play Marines (Night Watch Chapter) which is kind of frustrating. I had my own colours and emblem going for quite some time, and then fifth edition came around and the new codex came out, and all of a sudden there was this tiny little picture on the universe map which said Night Watch already exists...
Personally, I'm just glad they haven't started a colour scheme for my guys too, or I'd have to change my name and I like it too much as it is.
I enjoy modelling best, then playing, but with my limited budget I really have to wait until I can afford stuff.
Right now I'm working on a custom honour guard squad based on grey knights, and I got a lot of really cool conversion ideas from the stuff I found on the forum.
So anyway, I'm glad to join up and I hope to take part in some good discussions in the future

Welcome to durka durka. I't be interested to see what your own colour scheme is when you say you don't paint them, was is plastic grey with a plastic grey emblem?

Not exactly, I never said I didn't paint them. I just stink at painting and I never get around to it. I start basecoating a guy and two minutes later I am bored.
However, I do have a paint scheme. My guys are black with DA green on the parts like the helmet crests and shoulder pad rims. So, they're very dark and can't be seen very clearly from more than a foot away.

My apologies, I did say I didn't paint anything, but I was exaggerating slightly.

Welcome!

Is your user name a reference to Russian cinema?

I love those movies, weird but good!

No it isn't, it's my army name, as well as a novel by Terry Pratchett. What Russian movies do you speak of? Perhaps I can gain some inspiration from my army....?

Night Watch and Day Watch

They are available in the US on DVD.

Same guy that directed Wanted (I liked the Watch-es better) and he's currently making Twilight Watch.

Like I said, weird but good (I like them and every one I've told about them also likes them, although they mostly share my taste in oddball movies).

At the very least I hope I turned you on to something new that you'll enjoy.

Note: These are Big Budget for Russian movies so they're pretty much on par with a lot of US movies, effect wise.
