Yeah, it's from the 40k terrain basing set. There's a broken SoB helm in that set, too.

That's pretty cool. I can't remember why but I decided to buy the Fantasy one when they came out.

@Casey - Graven's got it on the nose, I got the basing kit a while back and decided that all the terminators this push will have a small resin additive to the base, this one happens to have the SoB one.

@Graven - Did you buy the basing set any point? if so how on earth did you affix the models to the terminator sized bases?

Yup. Cut the pegs off, sand the bottom, gs round the edges.

On a totally separate note, just looking at that helm made me think that, with teeth painted on in a toothy shark grin would look awesome for carcharadons / world eaters. You know, as you do.

Hahaha yes, as you do, I had toyed with doing jagged teeth on the face of this one but it wouldn't fit the aesthetic of the army, but I did have a similar thought.

Update: Apologies for the lack of updates over the last 2 days, my brother was leaving for Canada so spent quite a bit of time with him, plenty of drinking and merryment. One this he did leave me was his models..... see below for what I now have....

Seriously though, that's some fun toys to play with! Now the difficulty is stopping them distracting you. If you take those crons for a spin eventually what colour will you be painting them do you think? Grey? Haha, I kid, I kid... Boltgun Metal, right?

I'd like to see some roger-roger crons! As for the chaos stuff it should be crusty and mucky - diametric polar opposit of crisp 'n' grey!

@Graven - lol Roger roger crons, the paint scheme my brother was going for was a bone/marble look but dirty, so I'm thinking if I do go the way of the metal overlords I'll be doing the same scheme as him, just my own take

@Casey - Oh I gave him an awesome going away present, one he can nurse while on the flight away

I have put them in carry case and put it behind the door so for now its out of sight out of mind

@M.K - I'm thinking I'll repaint the chaos characters as those were painted by me over 15 years ago so back before washes and skill heh.

Whoa, lookin great. I meant WIP taken with the set up you use to photograph finished models but actually I can see the new colour palette well enough like this.

@Casey - Ah I see, the problem being is when I do the better lighting its a change of light bulbs and after painting for 30-40 mins those bulbs get pretty hot to handle, Will see if I can wangle it in for you.
