Ridin' on a Snotling Pump Wagon

Time for a bit of fun and a non-argumental thread!

As the title says, what has been your favourite special rule ever commited to print? It can be from absolutely any game, GW or not, including free games given away in Magazines or downloaded.

Mine comes from 'Bar Room Brawl' a game given away in White Dwarf during Gorkamorkas all too short tenure.

It's one of the random Special Abilities your Boy could use in the ensuing scrap, and is simply called.....(fanfare please)

'Weep like a weedy Grot'.

Your Boy dropped to the floor and turned on the waterworks, and could avoid being duffed up for a turn. Absolutely genius in my opinion, from the name to the application!

So your turn. And of course, do mention why you like it so much!

Fed up of Scalpers? But still want your Exclusives? Why not join us?

Hey look! It’s my 2025 Hobby Log/Blog/Project/Whatevs

I have so many, but my favorite one for teams of sheer stupidity was a card on the Dragonball Z card game which I believe was called "The Talking Ends Here." So imagine you're about to beat me, I'm down to 7 cards in my deck, and you can deal enough damage from 1 attack to kill me. I play that 1 card and suddenly I can't lose the game til the end of the next turn. I draw my cards, play Dragon balls to draw more cards and win because my last 7 cards were always Dragon Balls and I wish you dead. EVERY GAME. It was banned shortly after being produced

There are tons of good ones in Warmachine and Hordes.

I think my favorite ones have to be Liquid Courage and Party Foul. Borka's Keg Carrier grants
Liquid Courage to a nearby unit. They can't be knocked down, when they reach the enemy that
turn the enemy gets to swing first, but in exchange the Liquid Couraged unit hits like a ton of bricks.

When someone kills the Keg Carrier, Party Foul comes into play. With Party Foul, all the
warriors can run and swing at the enemy since they're so darn pissed (probably in both
the British and American sense of the word)

I like Mob Rule, because it's a pun.

I also like By the Authority of the Immortal Emperor of Mankind, because it's way longer than a rule's name should be.

Feel no Pain is another cool sounding one.

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.

QFT. The only thing that comes close to it is Zogwort's Curse cause nothing says Power like turning one of your opponents characters into a squig XD

Enigmatic Sorcerer of Chaos

Not so much a rule, but fun nonetheless.

In the old Realm of Chaos: Slaves to Darkness book, like 20 years ago, you could roll for the chaos attributes for your champions. One summer we were doing a Warbands Campaign and I was stoked. I chose Khorne as the band's patron hoping to kick some serious backside. However, for my Champion of Khorne I rolled 'Tiny Head' (-1 int) , 'Bird feet' (+1 attack) and 'Fear of Blood' (-1 Ld ) . The most useless Khorne Champion ever. EVER! I took this as a sign not to do a Khornate Warband and switched to Nurgle.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

So many choices. One of my favourites would be the wargear item that Flash Gitz have called 'Gitfindas'. I read the name and cracked up laughing. It sounds like some kind of wacky crime-fighting tool.

The rules for the Shokk Attack Gun are pretty funny during a game, like when the Big Mek accidentally fires himself at the enemy. Never again will I fire it at a Dreadnought.

The old 2nd ed Ork Mad Boyz rules. All of them. Especially the names... 'Oi, dats my bolter', 'Fraternizashun wiv da enemee' (probably my favorite of the lot. the Boyz march toward the nearest enemy unit, refraining from shooting and shouting about how it was all a mistake, we can all be friends. The enemy unit is not allowed to shoot at the boys that turn).

Ahh, reading them now makes me laugh.
