The Eye of Terror

Title is self-explanatory, what P&M related stuff have you got going on?

I've got some more sisters with meltas/hflamers to paint up, as well as an lightly converted inquisitor + retinue to get painted up. I'm doing the details on a callidus assassin.

I'm also assembling a magnetized land raider. It will be a dedicated transport for my inquisitor, and a land raider crusader for my incoming blood angels.

Did I mention i'm starting a blood angels force? Space Hulk is incoming, and while I will likely not care terribly about the game, I want those terminators, and will probably sell the 'stealers or trade them at my FLGS. Being somewhat of a noob to wargaming, I have never played space hulk, so if I love it I will probably keep and paint the 'stealers, and magnetize the bases for the terminators.

If I were you, I'd do some bolter marines first, so you're more experienced for your important models. I always do my sergeants/Shas'ui/Sister Superiors last, so i have the practice with the other, less important, less scrutinized troops. I do the special/heavy weapons bearers before the sarges, but after the "ablative wounds", for the same reason, and I take several days to do HQs, piece by piece.

Thanks for the tip. I already kinda went for the good stuff though..haha. A friend didn't want to paint his Chaplain in Terminator Armour and told me I could do it..so he gave me a few figures to practice on and I think it turned out okay. I know I could do better now though. I painted a Ork to practice on and then did the Chaplain. Its in my Gallery if you wanna see how it turned out. Its been touched up a lil bit since the pic in the gallery though.

I'm currently working on a Terminator with some Halo/Master Chief influence (mostly just green like him; I'm thinking of swapping out the terminator head with some thing more halo-y).

Not a bad chaplain, not bad at all. Definitely above tabletop standard. Still, imagine you do your HQs, your sarges, and all your special stuff first... then you're staring down the face of 30 bolter marines, and that is not an entertaining prospect. best to do it in chunks IMO.

Currently, I'm slowly converting my way with some IG veterans. Next will be to finish the last 15 ultramarines and fix all squad insingnia for the army. Then its a slow process of repainting 60 guardsmen.

I just finished my first senital and my advisors. Not overly blown away by how they look but it will suffice.

And finally, I have a Brother Captain Stern which I would like to use some advanced techniques on.

After that I'm gonna build some terrain for a while, finish my speeder squadron and mabe buy some more Russ/senitals.

The difference between commitment and involvement is like eggs and ham; the ckicken was "involved", the pig was "comitted".

Right now I'm almost finished modeling Rambo (counts as Marbo of course) and am working on my Psyker Battle Squad, but nothing is coming out quite right.

I'm contemplating picking up a box of Flagellants and chopping off the torso, since the damn things have legs and torso combined. I really want my psykers wearing flak vests and I suck with GS so I figured I might give that a go.

FWTallarn Tank Commander
and my favorite...A 1989 Imperial Guardsman: Human Bomb...he's just wrong, but its cool at the same time...

The pile of Dark Elf Warriors, a Dreadlord, and three boxes of Black Reach Orks that I can't get motivated to paint.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

Hardened Veteran Guardsman

Virginia Beach, VA

- Working to improve my Storm Troopers...they already look better than the other two squads I have, and they're not even based
- Bringing 40+ Guardsmen to tabletop standard with decent basecoats, I might experiment with a home-made devlan mud wash equivalent, and I am gonna think about getting some camo on them. Priming by hand takes forever.
- Repairing six autocannon teams that got busted up in shipment
- Working to finish my lascarbine conversion on my two Veterans squads
- Working to bring 21 SOB to tabletop standard
- Finishing up an objective marker

A LOT of work to do over the next month or three, my free time considered.
