This is the new indomitable fortress for the Dark Angels. I got the pic from BoLS. I bet that with a little work, the sword could be turned into a scythe and the halo could be turned into a star of chaos, and then with a little extreme weathering and abuse, it would make an awesome Nurgle fortress.

That pic is old news. It is in Planetstrike. I have seen no confirmation on it actually being made.

It's been confirmed as being released around Xmas. For $99. They must think there are A LOT of Dark Angel players out there.

Army specific terrain is a bit odd. Especially Dark Angels.

As much as i liked looking at it in Planestrike I assumed it was one of those scratchs they ussually do just for the looks in the codex's... The size of it is HUGE... Is it going to be made?

Let's hope that GW are actually going to release it! I have wanted one of those since I first opened my Planetstrike book. As far as a confirmed rumor, I believe I saw something about it being released for X-mas over at BoLS.

Yeah, that's pretty much the only update. That it'll be out for Christmas, along with some new terrain for Fantasy too.

Isnt BoLS that blog that copy pastes everything others forums posts and treats rumours, official confirmations and random users ramblings like its all the same thing???

Yup Warseer was talking about it yesterday, someone saw in the listing of releases for December the Redemption Fortress mentioned and put it up.

That's definitely underpriced.

Whats the surprise there? A imperial citadel with 2 bastions and 3 Dlines is 70euros and its a lot less plastic. Its just priced according to all GW stuff i guess...

Wouldnt it be just a few big walls like the 'cathedral' was? 78€ for an hour of modelling seems right.....

Tjhere is, we just play other armies as DA are unplayable right now compared to normal marines. Must be GW's attempt to seel the last of the DA codices they have. Might as well trying to sell 2nd ed ones for the current system in all honesty as they're about the same use

Oh and nice terrain peice, bit over priced tbh though.

We ask for an updated codex, they give us terrain...

I find myself disgusted but elated that GW still acknowledges DA exist...

I like it a lot but having it be so specific as to belong to a chapter of marines seems odd.

Do you play 30k? It'd be a lot cooler if you did.

Yeah, it _maybe_ makes sense as a marine-specific fortress, with separate chapter-specific bits (including chaos?), but making it DA-only seems far too specific. Especially when there's nothing wrong with using Panetstrike terrain for marines.

Still, maybe GW is selling bucketloads of terrain, in which case we should expect army-specific terrain for everyone... looking forwards to some Tyranid terrain

Could be that the Indomitable Fortress shown in the PS book is a Studio test model / prototype with extra iconography tacked on for the sake of it. For all we know the actual product could be mostly free of Dark Angel decorations.

Sounds about right to me.

And smart too.

Uh oh!

Or at least it might be designed to be easily convertible. I guess the huge hooded figures are probably there to stay, but I hope the smaller DA icons aren't recessed, and thus easy to scrape off.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Exceptionally happy, yes. That kit must come out.

Flachzange wrote:He would only be happy after he ordered 10

That all depends on how modular it is. If it's a straight up kit that just builds what you see on the box, I buy one. If it's a modular kit like the Bastion.... well... we'll see then won't we.

Too much repetition for it to be a simple scratchbuild. And even if it is a prototype (ala the Stompas in the Apoc rulebook), the real version will be heavily based upon it. And that's a good thing.
