yeah,
I like the bunker part.
But from the oversized skulls up just looks dumb.
I mayget one and replace that with a bastion.

Panic.

Who says its army specific? A hooded angle with scythe is more of a symbol of death then of the dark angels. I'm going to paint it up for my black templar army.

Mathhammer is NOT Warhammer.

It's not a scythe but a sword that the angels are holding.

DA Specific Terrain?

Wow, I guess they finally have a place to hold the 40k Special Olympics.

I wouldn't mind the Angel that much. Space Marines are called the Angels of Death anyway.
But with a bit of work it might really be a cool Nurgle fortress.

Oh, I really hope this rumor is true this time around. I was pretty bummed when it proved false during the Planetstrike release of terrain.

I dont think its really DA specific. I mean its labelled that way in the codex Planetstrike but really look at all 40k cothic architecture almost all the pieces have either a hooded angel or an eagle. The DA icons on it are probably like the ones on the drop pod that comes with several and then you choose.

Oh no. It's definitely something that, even the description says, was designed and utilized by the Dark Angels.

But so what? The Dark Angels probably maintain hundreds of fortresses like this, manned by Chapter Serfs as outposts watching out for signs of The Fallen.

Oh god why is this pain being brought up again? I was all excited when people where saying it was a PS release kit, then my dreams where shot down.

Maybe it will coincide with a real Dark Angels? To much to ask? I thought so.

Technically we haven't gotten Planetstrike Wave 2 yet. Or Daemon Wave 2 for that matter.

I'll put it the same way to you guys that I did to the Manager at the local GW Store. "If they put one out soon, I'll get one. If not that's not money that will be spent on a different model."

Same thing goes for the Plastic Daemon Prince. I have budget set aside for a couple. If they don't show up soon, the money will be used for other non-GW things.

I have a ton of daemons to paint anyway and will be spending Oct and Nov building a Brass Scorpion.

Oh ... I didn't even realize we were expecting one ... especially after GW seemed to abandon Planetstrike after the month of it's release. Here's hoping for more !!!

BrookM wrote:Could be that the Indomitable Fortress shown in the PS book is a Studio test model / prototype with extra iconography tacked on for the sake of it. For all we know the actual product could be mostly free of Dark Angel decorations.

Too much repetition for it to be a simple scratchbuild. And even if it is a prototype (ala the Stompas in the Apoc rulebook), the real version will be heavily based upon it. And that's a good thing.

The studio does cast repetitive parts of buildings (and other terrain) themselves in resin or plaster of paris I have read in an white dwarf.

I guess there is some sarcasm in these words.
The good news is that GW has not forgotten the Dark Angels.

Ork fortresses look a bit wierd, not comparable to that of the Monks of Death.

I seriously hope not. I liked the look of the planetstrike scenery set seeing them on their website even to the point I was considering buying a set instead of making some sometime. Then I saw the bag of them. Tacky crap is the kindest thing I would say about that lot.

I am definitely going to buy one if this turns out to be true, and given the amount of detail they went into with it in the Planet Strike book, I can't imagine it isn't actually going to be a production kit.

Still... I have been hurt before :(

This and a rerelease of the Imperial Sector would make my Christmas season

Anything can be turned into an ork fortress!

....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.

Paint the robes red and Call it a Shrine of Sanguinius. Would go well with My BA.

Chaosify it a bit and it will go well my Fallen Angels.

Either way it's a win. If this is true, I will get one. If not, I will lose no sleep

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.
