I think you should put a missile launcher on the IW dread's left arm and make it a walking gun of awesomenes.

Or ring the center hydraulic ram looking part with ML tubes, that way it can penetrate armour from both far away and up close and personal.

Nice work as usual! I particularly like the shoulder pad on the trophy rack it's a nice change to just severed heads. Are the trophies Imperial Fists?
I agree with Liveforfun the toes look too long.

Thanks for the comments guys.

@warboss - it could be made retractable with brass or aluminum tube, but I'm not going to

@liveforfun - I did do this in a rush, and because I have just stuck the toe on top of the other it does look silly. I might make it the same as the back toe. Plasms gun has just been set in place ready for more cables.

@rose + btemple - more missiles

@killmaimburn - yes they are Imperial Fist, and toes are gona be ajusted

Today I have just done a couple of things,

first, slaanesh left side of mouth has been built up. I have decided that the whole face is gona be warping out of the dreads body, this means filing back the plate part of the face until only the skin is left then GS it so it looks like it's stretching out of the body

I have made the IW plasma arm so he no longer needs to borrow Khorne's, now it just needs a load of cables everywhere.

I have started paint nurgle. I have just done the legs, trying to get the armour they way I want, If it goes wrong then I only need to change the legs

The bare metal will be mostly rusty, and I've got to add rust to the most worn away parts of the armour.

What colour should I paint the skin and tentacle parts?

I'd say purple for the tentacles, it would be a good contrast to the rotten colors.

without the drills in front, so it's basicly a conveyer for skulls. With the upper body of this I think even though it seems to big right now, might be wrong, it's been a while since I've seen Khorn-E:

They enter dirty at the front, they exit clean and shiny at the back.

I bet it gets really gassy when it processes Orks. Smell it for miles... Papa Nurgle covets the Skullcleaner's Orky bowel movements... they are a thing of putrid beauty.

The huge mouth on the slaanesh one works so much better for me then the first build. Don't know about the tongue, but the mouth is great.

Thanks guys, I'm loving sculpting the mouth. Maybe when he's got all the weapons on the tongue will not look so bad too you, I personally love it

I'm stuck on how to do the purple on the skin and tentacles on my nurgle. Should I start with white, them make a purple wash? or some other way. I fear my painting skills are gona spoil the model:(

Good stuff here, as usual tip. I Particularly like where you're taking the daemon-mouth on the Slaanesh dread.

Thanks tinfoil. I'm pleased with the idea of the slaanesh, even though it may take a while to do, I just had to try it

I been busy at work, so when getting home I'm a bit tierd so progress is slow.

I've just added a bit more rust detail to the legs.

Done the mouth too! I need to go over the amour again with some greens, because I went OTT with brown.

Khorne got some muzels on his autocannon, I think this weekend I will try to finish the autocannon off.

Got to agree with Ironskull. One "mug"zzle should do it. Apart from that I still love it, like I said before.

I like your paintjob on the mouth

About the autocanon, I have to agree there's too much dragon heads on it. IMO the one on the back could be removed.

I'm going for the rear dragon head on the autocannon, so I need to make up normal muzzels for the ends.

Sorry guys but I didn't get much done on the dreads this week:(

but I did cut out the slaanesh head, which will be blended into the dread's body.

@hyena - do you think I should go for the mouth colour on all the nurgle skin?

I would suggest going with the mouth colour for the rest of the nurgle skin as it will help continuity and tie the model together and it is suitably Nurgliefied.

Thanks Ravening Jaw,

Had a slow week or so on the dreads, mainly due to work on other projects, but also because I ran out of ideas on a few things.

Painting is going very slowly on nurgle.

I've done the claw arm differently from the legs, I prefer it my self, looks like the mouldy look I wanted in the first place. So i need to do the legs again:(

After ages deciding what to do with the iron worriors face plate a hour ago it came to me Using hyenajoes style front, I shaved down a warhammer chaos shoulder pad as the head. Still work to be down be I like the way it is going.

Really liking the new faceplate it fits perfectly (Dammit you are making me want to build a new dread again)

I'm still not liking the toes, they seem too long when you compare them to the length of the leg, like clown shoes for the lack of a better term.

I like the look of the Nurgle arm almost looks like moss of algae on a wreck . Could you post some more pics of the arm?

I can't lie, I'm myself doing an Iron Warriors themed army, and have put my Dreadnought (converted from a loyalist Venerable) on hold until I see everything you do with yours; it's a really bangup job.

Thanks Ouze I've seen your IW army and like it alot, the dread claw is a win What weapon are you gona put in the right arm? I'll try to finish this dread as quick as possible, but ATM I'm stuck on the plasma gun. I think the barrel looks too small. So I may need to make my own.
