I believe you

I feel the autocannon with the chainsaws really looks good, and don't know why I didn't do it before. I would have done more but my raptor bits came and I just had to start him, so far he looks really cool even if I do say so myself

Oh and I've updated the pics on the raptor.

Fixed ur original quote to how it should have looked lol I think what ur problem was is you typed your response inside of what you quoted. Just remember you'll always have a begin quote HTMl and an end quote HTML for every section of text you want to quote. for example

Ok back on topic @Tipios: To me it seems like the drum barrel needs something extra to it because right now with just the barrel and a peg connecting it it looks like it woulden't be able to spin. That's just me though

@warboss - Yes it is just a peg holding the drum in position too give me a idea of where it will be. I have stopped work on the detailing of the autocannon for now, because I am waiting for a mitre, which will help be cut the pastic tube straight.
Here's a pic of him with all his chainsaws

Pustank on your nurgledread looks great, whole dread looks great!
You're making Iron Warriors dread This project just leaped a couple of steps on the awesome scale! Want one for my ormy, but I'll probably take the easy way out and order one from FW. Will you model yours after that one?
Wish I could give some advice or critisism, but I'm to mesmerized. Keep up the good work!!

Hi limbo, and thanks.

Nooooo, you need to make your own dread or if you want a FW, I would get the new ironclad, and convert it. Your iron warrior look amazing and they need a dread

I'm going for a plasma gun, battering ram, and rocket launcher sa you can see. The only thing I might use from FW is an chaos world eaters dread head that I already have, but not sure of how i'm gona do it yet.

I actually have 2 dreads for my IW, one nurgle and one regular GW metal dread. Nurgle dread is painted and done as you've probably seen, metal one is still in WIP stage, can't be botherd to fix the magnets for all his weapon options. So he'll probably stay bare until I've done some work on my new tyranids.
Tyranids is also the reason why I wont get around to converting my own dread, even tought it would be awsome. Gah, seeing this thread makes me understand how Skalk feels >_>

And thanks for the compliment about my Iron Warriors =)

AWESOME!!!

Ok, I am doing that. Not even going to pretend I'm not ripping it off directly. Remember that World Eaters dreadnought I posted forever ago that I could not figure out how to fix the DCCW on its left arm?

There you go. I'm off to shop for bits. Will let you know when it is done.

@ZacktheChaosChild - thanks

@Limbo - yes I have seen your nurgle dread, nicely painted, and your tyranids looking good too. I still thing you should get the FW inronclad but just paint it in your iron warriors colours, your yellow and red stripping is really good.

@stalk - thanks man!, I was really happy how it turned out, and am going to do it again for the Iron Warrior. If you are gona do the left arm, just buy a seismic hammer if you can, there's less cutting to be done.

Here are some test pics of the Iron Warrior plasma cannon, and battering ram.

He has borrows slaanesh's legs, and khorne's right arm for this photo shoot.

Still needs work to make it fit nicely. It's the sentinal's plasma gun.

Just used the seimic hammer with a piece of wall, as the tip. Only concern here is the gun looks a little thin, is the ven dread plasms part bigger than this?

Any one got any ideas that might help, please feel free to give me

re: Plasma Gun... cables. Lots of cables. Guitar strings of various gauge, maybe even bass strings because they are much beefier. I think cables connected into it would "fill out" the empty spaces w/o having to add anything to the gun itself.

And oh yeah, the Seismic Hammer... I already have a left arm that is ready to go, it's been stripped and filed and should work ok, but I have looked them up and can grab one if this doesn't work out how I am hoping.

It is the same size, BUT it is also molded into the arm, so yes, add a lot of cables and armor plating.

Yeah I'd say add some armor to the cannon, maybe give it some kind of breach tool on that side. Like the PC fires plasma at a bastion/tank and then slams the breacher into the melting metal expanding the hole and it woulden't be the battering ram because this arm would expand like a hydraulic piston. Also if you wanted you could add trophies as if your dread was at the siege of Terra.

do you have pics of the skull clearner?

Met the guy yesterday to do some necromunda scenery and asked him for it. He is working on it but not done yet, it's just a little fun thing on the side. I'll try to remember to show once he is done.
It's based on this one here:

without the drills in front, so it's basicly a conveyer for skulls. With the upper body of this I think even though it seems to big right now, might be wrong, it's been a while since I've seen Khorn-E:

They enter dirty at the front, they exit clean and shiny at the back.

btw I like the use of sentinel legs for arms, make the dreads look a lot more agile, which is something I miss about the originals.

Oh forgot to say thanks to btemple before for checking the size of the plasmagun

@warboss - what would the siege of Terra trophies be, as I have know idea.

@hyena - deffo cables and armour, I have a selection on guitar string ready.

@tinfoil - thanks, I spend ages going through bitz shops looking at stuff, and thinking yeah that will work. Which has become an expensive technique, and dangerous (if the wife finds the visa bill lol!)

@Baiyuan - I look forward to those pics. I got the idea of the arms after looking at the FW CCW, the only thing to hag that I had at the time was sentinal legs.

Eh maybe a chunk of the wall, some heads of the defenders most likely Imperial Fist. Maybe even some of the dreads armor and parts could be taken from a IF dread. Look up The Cage of Lexicanum

TThanks warboss - I'm gona add some space marine helmets as trophies, painted as IF.

For the siege weapon instead of what I have done I might buy the new BA dreads left arm with the sword in it, but use the wall piece on the end instead of the sword, or I might try and make something myself.

I have tried a different way of making the siege weapon of the iron warrior.

So now it looks like the end piece is on the end of a hydraulic ram, for smashing stuff. It was inspired by the new BA dread's sword stabby arm . I was gona just buy that arm and be done, but that would be too easy, expensive, and no fun.

Thanks 666, I have not thought about the faceplate yet, but I might try something like that.

I've made the IW a bit taller by sticking sentinal feet on it.

I have given him big toes, to help him climb through rubbled buildings he has just smashed.

A flamer for mass burning,

and now he has got a trophy rack of IF SM parts, from the big fight they had once

Now I'm off to sort out his plasma cannon.

To be honest.

I thought the 1st seige hammer arm was better,it looked stronger than this new arm.

The structure of the new arm is good, and IMO better than the first one, but the length of the weapon makes it look more like a lance than like a siege weapon.

That's the only point that can be improved on this conversion. I've never been a huge fan of the Iron Warriors ant their imagery, but this dread looks incredibly good!

...And I nearly forgot: This trophy rack!

Thanks for the comments guys. The idea is that this is the weapon fully extended, as it is a piston hammer type thing, I do agree that the end could be a bit bigger, I am looking into adding somthing behind the tip to give it weight.

@hyena - I am proud of the trophy rack , thanks
