Actually we don't know what this so called Jesus person said or did not say.
We have a book full of statements and descriptions of questionable and debatable origin that proclaims things he supposedly said, that we are told we have to believe irregardless of proof.

I'm pretty sure that when people say "Jesus said" they mean "Jesus, as quoted and presented in the Bible, said..."
Either way, Jesus never said anything of the sort attributed to him in the image.
...and I'm pretty sure Odin never did either.

Origins of the books aren't really that debatable. The debate is the conflict between the religious Jesus and the Historical Jesus (how similar/disimilar the two are if he existed, though I think very few scholars actually hold the view he didn't). Christianity rose far to quickly and spread at a lightning pace compared to Zorastrianism or Buddhism (or most religions before or since) for anyone to claim there was no man named Jesus. I think only Islam holds a candle to how quickly Christianity spread. I also highly doubt claims that Jesus was not a religious leader. The debate is really about what kind of leader he was.
But then most people who claim he wasn't what the New Testament claims he is have no leg to stand on. There aren't many other sources (near none actually) that can be used to contradict the NT. Most the 'contradictions' come from Gnostic sources, the reliability of which is so poor only, a certain kind of person, actually claims they reveal anything.

Or Caesar, or any historical figure by that standard.
How about this: in the texts that people generally refer to as being a history of Jesus and and outline of the tenets of Christianity, the quote in question doesn't exist.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

So either way; there is no 'hope'.
I disagree strongly, considering the most logical reasons for extermination of the species all involve Religion, If we rid the world of it, the chance of us all dying out is far more remote surely?
Can you ever see a war between any genuinely secular nations? Can you ever see the UK going to war with France again? One where we would use nukes or WMD's? The only first world country that remotely scares me is still the USA, and that's only because 40% of the country are brimmers with Jesus juice. The other 60% will keep them in check though. As long as places like California and Vermont exist, I'm less worried about places like Oklahoma and Arkansas.
What's likely to kill us all realistically? Far less likely than it kicking off with China and Russia or North Korea suddenly deciding to nuke everyone?
Simple. Muslim country fires nukes at someone, terrorists drop some crazy ass dirty bomb's, Israel tries to take its neighbours on, whatever. The point is, it all stems back to Judaism, Islam and Israel, fighting over some random bit of fething sand for illogical reason's. Same as they have for thousands of years, it's the gift that keeps on giving.
The nuclear deterrent has worked so well for so long because nobody really wants to lose.
But if your 100% convinced that getting killed is the only way to start the big party, that this entire existence sucks and the fun only begins when your 6 feet under as per "the big three" then we are talking about really fething dangerous people.
WHAT DID YOU SAY ABOUT ARKENSAW????????? lol It is pretty bad here. Ugh.......
That picture wins the thread.
