Last two harlies look great. And the squad looks fantastic - forming a funky fatal force of five.

And to hang off graven's tailcoats - any news on possible studios for the near-future?

these harlequins looks very good... diamonds are a girls best friend... point prooven again^^

and well i thought they used the cheapest whiskey in baileys already???

as for making your own whiskey...isn“t that like asking a redshirt if he knows how to cast GW stuff...^^

but seriously i wouldn do it... many rednecks in the states each year go blind fr their own moonshine making and stesting...also do you own a zinc bathingtube...?

No zinc bathtubs here! Yes distilling spirits is a bit beyond my technology. The government increases the tax on booze over here every year in the hope that it will stop us drinking so much. It might be working? its hard to tell really.

Thanks monkey, cave dweller, small, far away (retro is my stated goal).

I really wish I could make you a harlequin teacup graven. I have found a studio belonging to an old family friend - I used to help weed her garden, but she is old and grumpy and told me to call back in two weeks when she had thought about it... So not definite.

I have been watching the TV show/documentary called "moonshiners"- about some good-ol-boys in the hills of Virginia with their Illegal stills, and the (moronic) lawmen who are out to bust them.- It's quite an operation, and a pretty good show.

It is making me want to build a 40k/necromunda scale still. I'm just not sure if it should be a water still or a sludge/fungus liquor distillery.

There are some parts in the Pegasus Hobbies Chemical Plant that would make fantastic bits for a large still (or beer brewery).

It's sad to hear that there will not be any new pottery in the near future.

I can do more with some styrene and a knife than can be done with the Chem Plant parts though, but that set does have some tasty bits in it.

Excellent harlequins Weety, much better than mine (similar blue & purple scheme tho)... I didn't dare attempt any diamond patterns, so big props to you...

There's a pic of my harly in my gallery if anyone's curious...

The harlequins are looking great Weety, it must have taken a lot of patience to paint those diamonds.

I have looked at those harlequins many times archroy - great minds think alike - either that or I borrowed your scheme? (Its been such a long time I dont remember) But then mine have a lot more yellow and less green.

Giraffex - thankyou. Yes patience is required - it also helps to be very shortsighted as this in fact improves close up vision. A tiny brush and a good steady position are also essential. But most important is bags of confidence - I find on some days its just not even worth trying freehand as I just don't have the confidence for it. And if you think it might go wrong then it probably will.

Don't know what to paint now...

Yeah, mood and confidence are big parts of painting. I was frustrated myself, and when I expressed it, that was taken as me "fishing for compliments" but honestly, I wasn't, but I don't think anyone will believe me

Inmygraven image asked 2 pages back what my fav chaos god or chaos SM chapter. But it was new year or something and I was drunk.

I like khorne berzerker paint schemes best because they are easy to paint. But all the chaos gods little personality traits appeal to me - Maybe slaneesh more than the others.

As for my fav chapter I suppose it would have to be the thousand sons because all that Egyptian stuff appeals to me aesthetically

Nothing to see here, Move along.

I'm afraid I find painting takes a special kind of concentration, and I'm trying to cut down.

January is generally a bad month for painting anyway - low light, low(or no) funds and a general grumpyness are all stumbling blocks to getting anything done creatively.

But I have at least undercoated the rest of the delaques, and a little RT catachan (yep they had em way back when) with a bandaged hand. Also I have made the decision to start stripping down some of the models I first painted for dakka a year and a half ago because I think I could do so much better - lets have a round up of the worst offenders:

My worst paintjobs

Those are the ones that are definitely going in the dip this year

Yep agreed, January is a bad time for painting.

It's fine for converting though...... The gangers have a ride now, surely they need a crib too?

In the mean-time we'll look forward to the second coming of your early mini's.

I'm afraid the ambull isn't mine - just a another fan of oop showing me his finds. Can't quite remember but I think it was headinhalf?

My favourite sculpter? hmm I need to give that more thought - I don't think I'm quite an expert yet! just a very enthusiastic collector (I currently have nil cash so there isn't any collecting happening right now). I will have a look and then let you know!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope the recent floods we hear about haven't hit you or friends too hard
