Just been on the GW site looking at the ork models.

The Killa Kanz seem to be missing apart from the Burna model which is Listed as No Longer Available!?

Incoming plastic kit anyone?

Not meaning to insult you, but many other models have disappeared from the GWs site just to make a mysterious comeback. Although the rumors say that there would be plastic Killa Kans with Deff Dread, the fact that they just disappeared from the GWs site doesn't prove anything.

I did think they could just be an art refresh or something and just pop back up but with all the love orks have got lately a plastic kit is just as likely

yeah,
It may be that they are moving to only provide one type of killa kan, all other weapons are extras and can be purchased as extras, netting GW a extra £5 per Kan if someone wants to arm them with big shootas.

It's a bit crafty but it works, I know I bought a load of extra arms for my dreads..

Panic...

My source tells me to expect new plastic Kanz this summer along with a new plastic Warbuggy kit.

I am expecting at least one of these in March actually, along with the Deff Dread as part of the Battle Missions releases.

Termagaunt/Hormagaunt sets also disappeared few months before the new Tyranid products came out.

On the other side, Meganob with twin-linked shoota isn't available on GW site for months already.

But I really hope plastic kanz will be released soon

Might be a bit sooner than that perhaps, for some of it anyway. I believe some of the ork stuff is out with/alongside Battle Missions.

I thought the kanz/dread had already gotten an "art update"? (If you mean the box art was changed to match the rest of the new Ork kits, with the yellow/trash background)

The current rumour was two kits each for IG, SM and Orks released alongside battle missions, we know one of those is the new Dredd thanks to GW's newsletter tease so if the other isn't the new Kanz then this guy's source could be right and we won't see them till summer.

Which begs the question, if not the Kanz then what will be accompanying the Dredd...

I hope the Warbuggy comes out soon, as I found out today, I need more Ork driver figures for scratch building new vehicles.

I'd expect them to come in a skwadren of 3 if plastic. Which begs another question..... If they are plastic will they be more value for money or just another price hike?

They're £14 each at the moment, they'd better not be more!

if its 3 in a box I would expect similar pricing to the new Ravenors, 27 quid for 3?!

I reckon it'll be more along the lines of 1 Deffdread box with different weapon options, and the same for Killa Kans. 1 box which will allow you to choose between different loadouts - like the Battlewagon kit.

That sounds spot on to me, I'd prefer the £23 that three warbikes cost but Raveners are closer in size.

3 for $45 then?

I'd buy a box at that price.

Or two...

If it's true and we are getting plastic Killa Kans, all I can say is "finally". Thank you GW. That was one of the most frustrating kits around IMO. The legs and arms needed heavy pinning to hold it together, and the body never fit together right. I had to bend the pieces on every kit I had (and I built 9) to get them to fit together, and even then I had to fill in the cracks with green stuff to make it look flush. I like the look of the kans, and the dread, but an upgrade on those kits is long overdue. I'll buy the plastics when they come out. I love my kan army and I wouldn't mind having more kans and dreads for Planetstrike or Apoc games.

Yippee!

New kans would be amazing!

GW wouldn't sell them in packs of 3 maybe just one for twenty dollars like the necron destroyer. The only reason they sell raveners, bikes, pathfinders, .ect in packs of three is because they have a minimum unit size. The minimum size for Kans is 1 so I think they will be sold in single packs.

The new kans might be half plastic half metal like destroyers or broadsides. (I hope i'm wrong)

I can imagine a killa kan coming in a gretchin squad-sized box for $15 each.

Unfortunately I can't imagine GW imagining this price!
What would we prefer though? A cheap kan kit like the assault on black reach dred with the single weapon configuration?
Or...
A more expensive kit which allows for a variety of configurations?

Yeah cause that would work out to $30 over here. But, I expect it to cost around the same as a Crisis Suit does, cause of the size and equipment that we can expect with it. But, it's actually pretty close as the Crisis Suits are $33 over here.

Is that $25 each?

If so, I can see GW putting it at that price.

If we're lucky, maybe $20 each?

yeah,
I'm hoping the grotzooka is on the frame so that I can get some via a unofficial bits site.

++The loss of GW bits service is troublesome/mental, I have about 5 projects in my head right now that need bits.... like I want to make mini killa kans (counts as lootas) out of the lobba canon body. Why wont GW sell me that bit...
And why wont GW give me a heads up about new KillaKans/Buggies? If GW told me something about their plans my money would not have been spent on eBay buying old killa kans (with multiple weapons in box) and ork truck wheels to convert buggies...... /end rant
