I don't have pics as they're not mine . . . but at a Warhammer World tourney I once saw a 1500pt Ork army, all female orks . . . so they had pink skin, handbags, lipstick . . . it was amazing =]

Darth that is pretty amazing. Obviously took a lot of work from the painter, but even a less-skilled person using the same palette could make some nice looking orkz.

Damn, thats one nice ork there, that bleek skin tone make it look like an albino ork. Definately something, to bad I started out mine green, had I seen this I would have made an albino ork clan

I had the idea to make an albino warboss a couple of years back. I did some research and there are albino plants - which works well with the idea that Orks are spawned through fungal spores.

In the fluff I wrote, the Warboss is seen by the boyz as the Chosen of Mork (or possibly Gork...) and so they wear white warpaint in honour of him. So I had a white-skinned Warboss, and green-skinned boyz with white warpaint.

this is just raping orks! i do have a black ork however, but thats just because i forgot to paint his face, and im too lazy to paint it again XD

Why so angry. There are many aspects involved in mini gaming. The two most important aspects being playing and creativity. If they were absolutely required to be a certain color they would be packaged that way, already painted.

Some people aren't very creative and need a basis, and some people just really like fluff. Others are artists, and want to be original.

Playing the game, and the creative process involved, is supposed to be fun. No need for animosity.


I don't hate Yoda. In fact, the information on his race has still yet to be released. Granted, Yaddle was also green, but who is to say he doesn't come from a race that has many colors.
It would actually be completely ridiculous to have everyone of a single race be the exact same color. That is completely unheard of in reality, there are always variations. Besides, we can always come up with our own back story.

Old Confrontation had a race of orcs that could be a number of colors (at least, they could by the fluff). Most of the minis got painted green, but here are some of their other orcs:








These are Rackham's Studio paintjobs. I only have a few confrontation orcs myself. My wife painted up one to have dark brown skin, and that looked really good (no pictures- sorry).

Personally, I could never stand the whole Green Fantasy Orks in Space theme but those Albino ones are FANTASTIC !!!

What a great, sinister-looking alien race that color change makes them, IMO !!!

Hello all.....

I had a while a go a thread kind of like this about my ideas of making latino looking orcs. I was doing the idea of modern Gang bangers concept for an orc army. I was not going to have them wearing mexican hats and looking stupid but more realistic concepts. each unit was going to be based of a real gang. My HQ Warboss and his nobs were done in yellow to be the Latin Kings. I posted my ideas and I got ridiculed because I was bieng racist because i took a light brown skin color now if i did a geen skin and just paint his clothes and the colors I had hanging out of thier back pockets i would have been fine. I am sorry but if I am going to do that go all the way. I even made a converted raider with the top off and in the back room a xbox and bean bags and added a wall with a flat screen so it looked tricked out. My friend got me the dark eldar slave girls so I made it up on a small wooden slate and made a sign 40,121 annuall Orc'an Kustom Ride Show and had her on the hood. It was funny and some got the humor in it. I was trying to say that orc would have a kustom ride show. I just did it allot like how hispanic handle theirs. I was told I was not funny and should be ashamed of myself.

My thoughts on this is that this is a game. Some of us have been modeling and painting sense rogue trader. Doing whats on the box we done. So now we paint out of the box. If we all just followed what the great GW gods told us it would be boring. I mean in fun and if you are trying not to piss people off and just trying to do a good concept I see nothing wrong.

If I see a bunch of imperial guardsman wearing battle grey uniforms leading by commisars in all black uniforms with red and white arm bands with that wonderfull little marking on it and all the banners have a more red and white look to them. Then yes that guy is trying to be a prick and should be treated that way. Now if he did it with the armbands and banners were red and white but with the imperial eagle in it and made refrenece to how umm the imperium is a police state then I would think he is being creative and right...just ask some mutants one day.

Guys this is a game and the people who play it are creative, a little more worldly and usally highly witty. Please don't try to conform to painting whats on the box.

P.S I have been playing sense rogue trader. because of the box and all its glory of showing you paint schemes.. I will never ever allow myself to paint any marine in BLUE!!!! If you have to ask what chapter I am talking about you don't look at the boxes GW send the stuff in.

In the old 'How to paint Citadel Miniatures', there was an example of an Ork Boy painted by the man himself, Rick Priestley, that had grey skin with a red undertone. It was... different. Interesting concept though.

Heres my ork that i jsut painted, i call him "demon ork"

Mutation runs rampant throughout the ork population so theoretically a different color ork could have been killed and released spores which grew more different colored orks, and so on. So by the time enough orks were killed that one ork can have a whole pink waaagh going on, or purple, or whatever color he was. That is the exact fluff i'm going to use to justify my albino orks i have from my AoBR set that i never bothered to paint until this thread inspired me.
