Look at the background, I spy box art of Horus Heresy and the FFG Death Watch logo. Not to mention Space Marine box art and a half-naked Tau poster.

In the picture linked, does the Orcs and goblins Army book (have a different (and darker) cover to the current one?

(It's bottom left of the the pic, between the black folder and the kids hand)

Of course typically it looks like a person of younger persausion won the mega prize.

I mean he's seen some awesome confirmation rumour style info in all likelyhood and probably doesn't partake of forums to share the gossip.

Dang it.

You wish. If you go back in time and invent the modern car before an American does THEN you can tell us which is the correct side to drive on.

We drive on the left because back in the days of walking, people would pass on each other on their right sides, so they could use their sword arm easily if they were attacked. Lefty fact of the day

Screw the car. We invented the road!

(Possibly. Wikipedia is telling me glastonbury and Ur in the middle east had the oldest manmade roads about 4000 years ago. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roads Yes, i know wikipedia isn't great, but i'm lazy)

anyway, we have digressed. Back on topic!

It is true... or at least I read it somewhere. Doesn't explain why other European countries drive on the right though. Probably because they're not as paranoid.

Your post made me curious so I tried some google-fu and found this http://www.nytimes.com/1994/05/08/world/world-s-oldest-paved-road-found-in-egypt.html?pagewanted=1 but then everybody else gets in the act http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=1946&dat=19771217&id=tpcuAAAAIBAJ&sjid=rKEFAAAAIBAJ&pg=2349,441721 bah, who cares?

I wish somebody could unswirl that earlier photo; mysteries make me crazy.

And for an Orc and goblin player to check their Army book against the one by the folder. I'm convinced it's a new cover (and thus, new and printed book)

I wouldn't be surprised. If 8th is coming out in summer, then the Empire and O&G books are likely to follow soon after(trend in Fantasy). That said, it looks like the previous (6th) book's art or one of the Gobbo boxes art. It's definitely not the bright, shiny Pig Rider current book.

Ah its the previous book, just updated to 7th book style, well its certainly the previous to current cover. (I assumed it was still that one when I looked, don't have the new one, plus I said Codex which probably added to the confusion.)

Its certainly an older cover pic though, so doubtful they'd use for a new book.

After a bit of research, i think you're right about it being the 6th ed art. The light yellow zigzag matches the wooden spikes, and you can just make out a spike from the Orc helm. However it has the red border of the newer army books. Deliberate red herring perhaps?
