I hate introductions so I figured I would try to skip that. Joined this site just to post this really (and future projects).

Never played warhammer before. Started this project after getting sucked into it by a friend that I work with; that and I have an ungodly ammount of free time that I need to fill to keep my sanity. The premise behind it was ancient buildings constructed on top of giant rock formations inspired by a picture from a Codex I browsed through. I went into it blind not knowing a thing, and I emerged with big decorated foam chunks and still not knowing much.

Sugguestions are much appreciated about what can be improved/added/changed/etc.

It all began from big slabs of pink foam glued together and carved with a razor knife. One section a landing pad, another a spiraling staircase with a SAM site, and the third an ATC building with a satelite dish on top. From here I'll just let the picture speak for themselves.

usernamesareannoying- I was going to initially just put pillars there, but I figured I would spice it up. And they don't really represent anything. I know very little about the warhammer universe; I pretty much just made what I thought would look cool. haha

Small update to the progress. Laid out and glued in wiring in the command building that will eventually snake to the two consoles and the tabble in the middle. The walls inside still look barren to me, but I haven't decided yet how I'm going to remedy that. Beams perhaps...

I also want to scatter barrels throughout some of the terrain in order to cut down line of site as well as create defensive firing positions. The results were mediocre simply carving them out of pink foam; they're too short and not smooth enough for my liking. Tomorrow I plan to line the outside of them with plastic to solve both problems. The plastic between the stacks of barrels will be exchanged with wooden pallets that haven't been made yet.
