@Miss Dee - Thanks for the link, those models are amazing, so much character with the older models with a new flair!

Update: time for the body, The gold bits got a base of ochre yellow then a light coat of gold, the purple is just a base of the higher concentration pigment one and a black wash, purple coming up next

Interesting gold there, vj or something different? Seems darker than your customary.

@Casey - drip feeding, hopefully keeps people a little interested over time.

@Graven - Surprisingly I only paint with GW paints - I'm quite the fanboy it seems, its was a yellow base normal gold over the top and sepia wash, the aim is to have a nice bright gold at the end.

Update: the 50/50 mix of purples is applied, I also put some brown on his gloves as I wasn't a fan of the black done in the FW pics

@Matt - Not long to go now, just the blade and the cloak and she's done

@Gits - through an ocean of purple and gold

Update: laer blade underway - Those who have a keen eye will see one side of the blade has a red tinge and the otherside has a purple tinge, while the little fire bits are opposite again.

Update: Fulgrims cloak gets some attention - you can't see much as the lighting is pretty bad, but there is a dark coat then a wash then a lighter coat over the top, pretty simple thus far.

Update: pretty much done the cloak now, some small bits and a wash and I'll call it all done

Are you going to paint/trim the raised edges on the bottom edge of the cloak?

Update: Model done, wow this thing is by far the best painting I think I have ever done, the pictures, while great, don't do the model any justice. You came here for the pics so I will not hold back.

Excellent job amigo. Fulgirm looks superb. If I have one - only one - niggle, it's that base could be a bit more striking, more variation in the greys for instance. But that's just me being a small, petty man

Oh yes Casey, there will be Chaos, there is only one more model I really want to get done before I start on some Chaos Repaints, and thats my felblade, its been sitting in its box for over a year and a half now, so I really want to get into it!

There is one final GK push after this one though isn't there? So will you be bouncing between or taking a timeout from the tide?

@Graven - Doing my darnedest to get through as much as I can before the little tacker arrives!

@Casey - I think there will be another 2-3 pushes before the 12,000 points are done, I'm up to 8000+ at the moment, doing about 2000 points per push (at last guess)
I want to try my hand at some Chaos Lords, some Deamons and some Necrons, so they will be a little buffer before going back to the sea of Grey again.
