Abaddon's very pricey at smaller games. Daemon princes are a lot of fun and harder to wound. If you really want a small guy, I'd say use Kharn at smaller point games. Just be aware that Kharn does not have eternal warrior.
I'd fill out your troops and heavy support before splurging on a unique character though.
I'd recommend taking the melta off your Dread, and gear it for CC. If you roll unfavorably in an early turn and he happens to be standing near your predator at deployment you could really hurt yourself early.
All terminators have power weapons. The only reason I'd waste the points to upgrade a champion on terminators is if I'm running a greater daemon so that there's another champ on the table to sacrifice if need be. I think your terminators will get killed before they do anything with no transport. If you deepstrike them, they'll get shot up without having done anything since you can't assault that turn. That's why it may be better to just take 3 guys and spend the difference on giving them some combi-meltas or a heavy flamer or something so they can DS then unload some shots on enemies before they meet their end (this is known as termicide).
I don't think it's worth the 15 points to put a havoc launcher on rhinos, I think you could put those points to better use.
I'd also say get a plague marine squad instead of regular guys. For one point more you can get a squad of 7 plague marines including a champion with a power fist and a guy with a plasma gun. Not to mention they're now leadership 10, fearless and have feel no pain. They'll last a lot longer on the table than a squad of 10. For the 15 points you spent on the havoc launcher, you can give the plague marines a second plasma gun.
With the missile launcher you can't move and shoot anyway, meanwhile the flame thrower is wasted if you aren't getting close to enemies.
I'd look into obliterators and/or a defiler. I've never had much luck with the predator. If anybody hits it, you're looking at minimum a shaken result meaning no shooting.
For the 165 you're spending on that predator, you could get two obilterators at 150. That gives you 2 lascannons, which can shoot at seperate targets if you keep them as separate units. Assuming your predator remains stationary, it's only going to still probably be able to fire one sponson and the main turret due to LOS. So all you really lose for 15 points is one twin linked shot. But you do gain something that's harder to hit IMO and harder to prevent from shooting.

5000 points (Blue rods are better than green!)

There's an entire sub forum for army lists, just an FYI.
I wouldn't take a missile launcher and a flamer in the rhino-borne squads of Marines. They're going to be mobile, so arm them for it. I'd take two flamers instead. As a general rule of thumb, you don't want to spend more than 10-20% of your points on HQ units. Having both Abaddon and a Lord is just wasted space. Drop Abaddon and give the Lord a squad of raptors to hide in, or drop the lord and play with those points.
I also echo to dump the predator. Lascannon predators are just point sinks. The Terminators should have combi-meltas or something - anything - to give them a purpose. At the very least give them a heavy flamer or a reaper autocannon.

He's running off converted AoBR, if you look close enough.
Anyway, I think he needs to keep the Predator. He's got no other way to pop transports, and the tri-Las Pred packs the most anti-transport of all the Chaos Heavy Support. Otherwise I agree with you SRM.
