Just a little vote on how many AOBR box worth of minis are in your current army , or if you are planning on getting more.
You know , like either as they were your starting army , or if you purchase them to beef up your existing force.

3 in my ork army they are just such good value

1, the only thing which interests me are the deffkoptas. (and the nobs and warbos but very slightly for these guys)

I have 10 marines from the Macragge set, and 10 monopose marines from the 2nd edition set, the rest of the 90 or so marines are from regular tactical (or similar) squad boxes [most are SM, some are from SW bloodclaws or grey hunters boxes, etc] or are metals from RT or 2nd ed.

Just the one box for me - I run both SM and Ork armies so could find a home for all the contents. That being said, most of my armies were complete so I didn't need to buy extra AOBR sets. If I was starting from scratch, then I would probably get several; they are pretty good value.

I could do with more deffkoptas but I refuse to pay the gouged ebay prices for them.

a full box-worth for my Orks, plus I traded the Boyz and Warboss from box 2 for 9 more Deffcoptas.

SM part of the 1st boxworth in my SM army, plus several extra Dreads and Terminators picked up over the last year in deals.

I use the Tac Squad, wouldn't get another one though because the poses are boring and mine was a lot of work due to super bad flashing. The Dreadnought has a Stormbolter, but the Multi-Melta is good. The Terminators are hideous, and the Captain looks like a tool.

To answer your question, 9 of the Marines and possibly the Dreadnought if I stop being cheap and buy/convert a Drop Pod.

The Ork side of the deal is way better though IMO. Boys are always good, the 'Koptas are a great deal, and the Warboss is alright.

None... I like my marines vaguely posable, may consider it if my orks ever move beyond the 1 squad of tankbustas I bought to paint.

I find it almost unfair how easily you can use these sets to make a SM army on the cheap.

I bought two, converted one tac squad into sternguard, slap on jetpack bits and made another into assault. Got TT/SS bits for the termies, and venerable bits to convert one of the dreadnoughts. I ended up with hundreds of dollars in troops for about 60 bucks (sold ork parts each time).

I had two boxes, I traded out the marines in them for two boxes more worth of orks...for a total of 4 AoBR boxes worth of orks. Huzzah!

Only have the one in mine but the Terminators have fought it almost every engagement I've had.

I have 2 AoBRs, and have kept both the marines and the Orks. I also have 2 Tac squads from the 2nd Ed boxed set.

I have 60 boys, 6 deffcoptas, warboss, and 5 nobs from aobr. All bought as bits from ebay.

The marines are utter gak. The only decent value from a marine standpoint are the terminators and the dreadnought.
I split a box with a friend. The orks he got out of it look right at home with the rest of his army. I'm buying other marines to replace the ones in mine because they stand out in such a bad way.

For Orks having the plastic Warboss made making my biker warboss conversion SOOOOOOO much easier. The Nob torsos also helped in converting over my Nob biker squads. I still haven't done anything with the sluggaboys or defcopters as I already had 50 or so of the boys and don't use Kopters.

For the marine side of things, it really helped get my SW army going. I used the Dread as is, I converted the 5 terminators to WG termies and Arjac, This was easily done using a few of the extra bits from the Wolf Boys box. That same box allowed me to turn the bolter marines into Grey Hunters and they don't look too bad when mixed in with the other boys with two weapons when spread out over three squads.

I know there's a Battle of Black Reach box at my friendly local gaming store. Canadian prices though...

I bought one box and traded out my marines for another box-worth of orks. I also have another 5 AOBR Nobz for some reason. I forget why.

I also bought the Nobz Box...I've got about 20 of the fething things! Never gonna use them all....

I've got 2 boxes worth, but I haven't used all of it yet.

Also, I have at least three AOBRs worth of AOBR nobz, I'm converting a few of them into MEGANOBZ

I'm not too fond of the single-posers, but I mean, it's a great value, for what it's worth.

I bought two kits, traded the marines for orks, and so far, have built/painted 2 koptas and 2 nobs from them.

I'm slowly filing the mold lines off the rest (but that goes slower when there aren't nfl games to watch on tv). and when I need another 80 slugga boyz, I might paint them too.

None. I don't like monopose SMs stupidly staring straight ahead with their guns cocked up or down.

I like the multi-part SMs starting with 3E. I think it's well over 100 models now, but haven't counted in a while.

1 box for my chaos army.
File off the imperial symobls, add spikes, and have my termies.
turned all the orks except the war boss and the def coptas into nurgle lesser deamons.
THe captian (main reason I bought the box) I ripped his bolter off and replaced it with a power fist and replaced his sword with a pistol. Came out nicly imo. Rly liked the cloak.
The dreadnot was convertered into chaos as well, just had to make a close combat wep for him to attach onto the multimelta the model starts with. I've used a few of the marines for basing/objectives.

I did the math on it around christmas it comes out to around $200 saved. I almost bought another one but I really dont need 30 more deamons and 5 more termies with an identical lord to lead them.

3 and a half for my orks. All the nmobs and warbosses are converted, and all but two of the koptas turned into somthing else.

I jsut got some AOBR marines in a trade.

But since I still have the stuff left over from the Feral Ork army I planned- I have a ton of Orks.

And already had enough marine stuff- no point in buying a new box when I have like 14+ armies that I still need ot finish.

One box. My Marines didn't need the tactical squad, so I traded them and got 5 Terminators to fill out the Terminator squad. My Orks don't need deffkoptas or a second warboss, and I like the regular kits for nobz and boyz better. However, the boss is great, and the 5 nobz and 20 boyz were definitely a good start for the army.

It's a great box, but I think after one box the figures will get repetitive.
